St8 Extends Pragmatic Play Deal to Cover Alberta Market

The St8 aggregation platform has expanded its existing collaboration with Pragmatic Play, adding a new province, Alberta, to its existing partnership in Ontario. Operators will gain access to a catalogue of over 600 Pragmatic Play games via the St8 API. The companies describe the expansion as an important step towards strengthening their position in the North American market.

Alberta’s newly regulated online gambling market has gained a fresh content partnership. St8, which operates as an aggregation platform for iGaming operators, confirmed it now works with Pragmatic Play in the province. The timing matters here, Alberta only recently became Canada’s second province to run a licensed online gambling setup, so this deal lands right as the market is still taking shape.

What operators will gain via the API

Getting access to Pragmatic Play’s library no longer requires separate integration work. Through St8’s existing API infrastructure, operators can pull in the studio’s entire catalogue in a single connection, more than 600 titles covering both older, established games and newer releases. Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus are among the names players will find live on the platform.

Commenting on the expansion, St8’s David Fall, who handles business development at the company, pointed out that Ontario and Alberta are now covered under the same partnership push. He framed it as a way of putting a heavyweight content library within reach of more operators through St8’s distribution setup, rather than treating each province as a separate rollout.

Pragmatic Play’s Position

On behalf of Pragmatic Play, Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations, commented that expanding through its trusted partner St8 into such significant jurisdictions as Ontario and Alberta strengthens the provider’s presence in the two provinces. According to McHugh, St8 has built a strong reputation as a distribution partner by pairing up-to-date technology with local regulatory know-how and hands-on support, a combination that helps get content live for operators faster.

Market context

Alongside its geographical expansion, Pragmatic Play continues to add to its portfolio with new releases, including the ancient China-themed slot Jade Legends.

For the Canadian market, such partnerships have become a standard step following the opening of a new region. Providers and aggregators already operating in Ontario are extending their existing agreements to new territories rather than building relationships with operators from scratch, which speeds up the launch of content for players.
