Truth Social Drops Direct Prediction Market Integration

Truth Social Drops Direct Prediction Market Integration
Trump Media has dropped plans to embed Crypto.com prediction markets directly inside Truth Social. The companies now intend to use a marketing arrangement instead.

Trump Media & Technology Group has changed course on Truth Predict, the prediction-market product announced in October 2025. The original plan called for technology from Crypto.com Derivatives North America to be integrated into Truth Social. Users were expected to access event contracts from inside the platform, including markets tied to sports and other real-world outcomes.

That direct integration is now off the table. Trump Media said the companies decided on August 7 to move to a marketing agreement. Crypto.com’s prediction-market products will instead be promoted to the Truth Social user base. No new launch timetable for the revised arrangement was disclosed.

Truth Social Will Market the Product

Truth Predict was announced while prediction markets were expanding across the US. The planned setup would have placed event-contract trading inside a major social platform and connected Trump Media directly with Crypto.com’s regulated derivatives business.

That would also have required a deeper technical build. Trump Media interim CEO Kevin McGurn told Axios that the prediction-market sector had become crowded. Running the back-end infrastructure was no longer an attractive use of the company’s resources, he said. Trump Media instead sees opportunities around distribution and data.

Under the revised model, the division is simpler. Truth Social can send its audience toward Crypto.com’s prediction products without hosting the trading infrastructure itself.

CRO Treasury Plan Is Also Canceled

The prediction-market change came alongside a broader reset between the companies. Trump Media, Crypto.com and Yorkville Acquisition Corp. have terminated their proposed combination to create Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc. The venture was intended to operate as a publicly traded digital asset treasury focused on CRO, the native token of the Cronos ecosystem.

The companies pointed to current market conditions and changes in business and stakeholder priorities. Work on the proposed treasury structure will now end.

Another agreement was dropped at the same time. Crypto.com will no longer provide services for certain planned Yorkville America ETF offerings. Yorkville said its wider ETF business and plans remain unchanged.

The Partnership Moves to Marketing

The two decisions reduce the scope of the Trump Media-Crypto.com relationship, but they do not remove prediction markets from the picture. Truth Social is stepping away from running an embedded trading layer while keeping access to the sector through promotion. Crypto.com, meanwhile, keeps the product and market infrastructure on its side. For the US prediction-market race, that turns a planned technology integration into a much lighter distribution deal.
