Scalara Details Harm-First Capabilities at SiGMA Rome

The distinction was missing from some of the coverage ahead of the event. On November 1, G3 Newswire presented Harm-First Orchestration as a launch feature combining player intelligence with AI and machine learning.
Scalara describes it differently. The company has working compliance and account controls, but the orchestration layer is not among them.
Five Controls Are Available, Three Are Not
The breakdown appears in Scalara’s own feature matrix. Five capabilities are marked as available: account restrictions, compliance tiers T0-T4, transaction checks, bonus-rule enforcement and a platform-wide audit trail.
The unfinished work covers three functions:
- A common decision sequence for player protection, fraud, compliance and commercial systems
- Harm signals that can prevent a bonus or another commercial action
- A single record explaining why the combined system allowed or rejected an action
Scalara states that Harm-First Orchestration is still in active development. Existing safeguards can operate without it, but they do not provide the planned decision process across all four areas.
Where Bonus Rules and Player Protection Collide
A player may qualify for a bonus under the standard rules while triggering a separate harm alert. Scalara’s planned orchestration layer is designed to resolve that conflict before the offer goes out and record which signal took priority. Both functions remain in development.
