BETBY Puts Live Basketball Action on Slot Reels

BETBY Puts Live Basketball Action on Slot Reels
The basketball version works in 15-second rounds. Instead of an RNG choosing what lands on the reels, the system watches the match and uses events from the court.

BETBY demonstrated the format at an October 1 press conference during SBC Summit. SBC News covered the press conference, where the supplier broke down how SlotBets combines slot mechanics with live sports.

One Reel Every Five Seconds

A basketball round is split into three five-second periods. The system picks the highest-value event from each one. A three-pointer can fill a reel, but so can a two-pointer, missed shot, foul or no relevant action. After 15 seconds, the three reels are settled as one combination.

BETBY puts the RTP for the demonstrated version at around 93%-94%, according to SBC News. Its SlotBets page lists multipliers between x20 and x1,000.

So the slot part is mostly the way the bet is presented. The result still comes from what happens in the live game. BETBY is working on other sports and esports versions as well.

A Bet Inside the Match Page

There is another part of SlotBets that may matter more to operators than the reels. The product can be placed through an iFrame inside a sportsbook or casino and used alongside a live match tracker. That means the same area where a customer follows scores and statistics can also carry another betting product. BETBY itself describes this as monetising match-tracker space.

The company says SlotBets is already live with selected partners, with further integrations under way. Its website also carries a broader claim that 500+ clients are already on board.

That should not be treated as 500 SlotBets integrations. The October product update only refers to selected partners currently running the format.
