Mohegan Sun Moves MBody AI Robot Pilot Into Paid Deployment
MBody AI said on September 9 that the robots remained in service after the pilot ended. Mohegan Sun has also indicated that it expects to expand the fleet under a multi-year subscription agreement later this year, although that larger deal has not yet been finalized.
The robots were tested on the gaming floor and in the conference center, working through daytime and evening shifts on repetitive and time-sensitive tasks. The change in contract status takes the project beyond a casino technology trial and into an operating commercial deployment.
Pilot Robots Remain in Service
MBody AI said the proof-of-concept covered two different parts of the property: Mohegan Sun’s gaming floor and conference facilities. The company did not disclose the number of robots involved or the value of the current commercial agreement. It said the systems handled operational tasks during full day and evening shifts, while Mohegan Sun employees remained focused on guest-facing work.
Melissa Benoit, Director of Housekeeping and EVS at Mohegan Sun, said the property plans to continue working with MBody AI and explore additional uses for the technology. The deployment is managed through MBody AI Orchestrator, a hardware-agnostic platform designed to coordinate robots from different manufacturers across sites and tasks.
Larger Fleet Could Follow Later in 2026
Mohegan Sun has indicated that it intends to increase the number of robots through a multi-year subscription agreement later this year. That expansion should not yet be treated as a completed contract. MBody AI’s announcement says negotiations are planned, while its forward-looking statement notes that the expansion agreement may ultimately not be signed or could proceed on different terms. If completed, MBody AI said the expansion would make Mohegan Sun one of its larger single-property gaming deployments.
The size of the resort gives the project room to scale. Mohegan Sun’s meetings site lists 5.5 million square feet of total indoor space and 1,600 guest rooms, while the property operates two casinos.
Casino Resorts Already Form a Large Part of MBody AI’s Business
The Mohegan Sun project follows existing commercial deployments by MBody AI in the casino and resort sector. An SEC registration filing says the company has cumulatively provided cleaning services across approximately 600 million square feet in hospitality properties. It also says MBody AI has generated revenue primarily from hospitality deployments, principally with casino and resort operators.
The same filing identifies MGM Resorts and Caesars as its two principal enterprise customers. MBody AI supplies automated robots together with its Orchestrator software and services including installation, training, maintenance and support.
At Mohegan Sun, the pilot-to-paid transition has already happened. The next step is whether the existing deployment turns into the larger multi-year fleet expansion expected later in 2026.
