Kyrgyzstan Gambling Tax Tops 2025 Total by September
Kyrgyzstan collected KGS496 million in gambling taxes from January through September 2026, exceeding the KGS466.2 million received during the whole of 2025. Casinos accounted for more than 95% of the nine-month total.

The figures, reported by Akchabar on November 2, come from the Ministry of Finance. Gambling tax receipts increased by KGS157.1 million, or 46.4%, compared with January-September 2025. The figures measure tax payments, not gambling turnover or GGR.

Casinos Account for 93% of the Tax Increase

Casinos paid KGS472.7 million, representing 95.3% of all gambling tax collected during the period. Other gambling activities contributed:

  • Gaming machines and computer simulators: KGS15.6 million;
  • Bookmakers and totalisators: KGS4.5 million;
  • Online and virtual casinos: KGS3.2 million.

Casino tax payments rose from KGS326.7 million in January-September 2025 to KGS472.7 million in the same period of 2026. The KGS146 million increase accounts for approximately 93% of the overall rise in gambling tax receipts.

Bookmakers moved in the opposite direction. Their tax payments declined from KGS5.5 million to KGS4.5 million. Online casinos accounted for just 0.65% of total gambling tax receipts.

Finance Ministry Proposes a Higher 2026 Target

Kyrgyzstan received KGS466.2 million in gambling taxes throughout 2025, according to full-year figures published by Kaktus Media. The first nine months of 2026 have already surpassed that amount by KGS29.8 million.

The Finance Ministry has also proposed raising its 2026 gambling-tax target from KGS500 million to KGS600 million, Tazabek reported on November 3.

At the proposed KGS600 million target, the nine-month receipts would represent 82.7% of the annual amount. The revised budget bill, registered with Kyrgyzstan’s parliament on October 30, remains at the legislative stage.
