Casinos as Content: Swipe Feeds, Celebrity Dealers, and the TikTokification of Slots

In just one month, the industry has launched three examples of casino as content: a feed of short videos where bets are placed within three seconds, a Hollywood comedian at a live dealer table, and record growth of gambling streams on Kick. We’ll explore which of these formats keep players most engaged, which increase the industry’s reach, and where these new formats collide with responsible gaming.
Key Takeaways
- The feed format is just an interface, not a retention feature. Swipe Games gives users only 3 to 5 seconds to make a decision based on a short video. The company claims its retention rate is 5 to 10 times better than industry averages;
- Celebrities and streamers sell reach, and the money goes to RNG and game shows. At Evolution, RNG rose 14.0% in the second quarter of 2026 while live gaming declined 3.6%. The company specifically highlights game shows.
- Regulators already restrict game speed and celebrity use. In the UK, the minimum spin time for online slots is 2.5 seconds and 5 seconds for other casino games. The UK also bans autoplay and turbo modes. Kevin Hart’s sessions are not available in the UK.
What Happened This Month
The first highlight is Swipe Games. According to iGB, this Cypriot company has created a game based on a feed of short videos. Players watch a clip – for example, a penalty kick – and have 3–5 seconds to choose one of three outcomes: goal, save, or miss. Each round lasts 8–10 seconds, and the result is revealed at the end of the clip. If you don’t like the clip, swipe up to skip to the next one.
The second highlight is Pragmatic Play. The provider announced that Kevin Hart will host four sessions at the live tables on November 6–7, 2026. To celebrate the event, there’s a promotion offering free chips and six “Kevin’s Picks” games, ranging from Mega Wheel to Sweet Bonanza CandyLand. The streams are not available in the UK.
The third highlight is Kick. According to Streams Charts, in September 2026, the platform recorded 773.8 million viewing hours, and the Gambling category grew by 93% over the month, climbing to seventh place.
A feed instead of a lobby

The idea behind Swipe Games is not to choose a game from the lobby, but to scroll through an endless feed. According to iGB, the company has 10 games (dedicated to soccer, cars, etc.), a library of over 20,000 AI-generated clips, and updates every two weeks. Sales began in late 2025, and 30–40 contracts have been signed since then.
Swipe Games isn’t the only one. In October 2025, Soft2Bet launched Swiper in Romania – a casino featuring swipe-based navigation and short videos, holding a Class I ONJN license and offering over 3,000 games. The difference is fundamental: on Swiper, the feed is a way to find a game, whereas on Swipe Games, the feed is the game itself.
| Format | Example | Confirmed | Claimed so far |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Feed as a Game | Swipe Games | Game Mechanics: 3–5 seconds to choose, 8–10 seconds per round; 10 games; 30–40 contracts (according to iGB) | Retention (D1–D30) is 5–10 times higher than the benchmarks; the average bet is 20 times higher than the crash genre in a single market; the goal is €600 million in bets per month |
| The Feed as a Gaming Lobby | Soft2Bet Swiper (Romania) | ONJN license, 3,000+ games, swipe navigation (according to NEXT.io) | Impact on retention is not disclosed |
| A Star at the Table | Kevin Hart × Pragmatic Play | 4 sessions on November 6–7, 2026; 6 games from “Kevin’s Picks”; excluding the UK | The impact on traffic will be known after the event |
| A streamer as a game provider | Donut Gaming (Trainwreckstv) | 7 slots in 4 months, a Stake exclusive (according to Win.gg) | The provider’s financial information has not been disclosed |

Stars at the Table
The Hart format is a marketing event, not a new game. The six Kevin’s Picks are existing Pragmatic products: Mega Wheel, Mega Roulette, Amazing Baccarat, Money Time, and others. For most operators, participation is optional. “Kevin Hart needs no introduction, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome him into the studio,” said Pragmatic Play COO Irina Cornides (Casino.org).
The leader in the live segment shows what is actually growing. In the second quarter of 2026, Evolution’s revenue from live games totaled €437.3 million, compared to €453.7 million a year earlier (−3.6%). RNG’s revenue was €80.5 million, compared to €70.6 million (+14.0%). In Europe, the company notes “strong momentum in the game shows category.” CEO Martin Carlesund writes that Ice Fishing “continued to attract new audiences across various markets.” Mobile devices account for 75% of operators’ GGR on the Evolution platform.
The conclusion is simple: the show format keeps the audience engaged with its clear visual hook. The host at the table draws people in for two days – nothing more.
A streamer as a provider
Attention in gambling streams is concentrated on just a few people. According to Stream Hatchet data for January 2026, the leaders in iGaming content are all on Kick: these are Trainwreckstv (15.6 million hours), Classybeef (13.9 million), and ROSHTEIN (12.6 million). Stake was mentioned in 6,600 stream titles on Twitch and Kick, accounting for 60% of all mentions of iGaming brands. Its closest competitor, 1xBet, was mentioned 1,800 times.
The next step is for the streamer to become a game provider themselves. Donut Gaming launched in January 2026, and Trainwreckstv announced himself as a co-owner in May. In four months, the studio released seven slots, all of which are Stake exclusives (according to Win.gg). For other game providers, this is a competitor that comes with its own audience.
But the audience is volatile. Kick recorded 1.22 billion hours in Q4 2025, down from 1.53 billion in Q3 (−20.5%, according to Stream Hatchet and Streamlabs). Streams Charts attributes the 93% increase in September to a lull in esports: streamers returned to the genre.
What Retains Players and What Is Just Noise
| Element | 15M assessment | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Short decision cycle (3–5 seconds) | It retains and creates RG risk | High betting frequency; this is precisely what regulators are limiting |
| Endless Feed and AI Video | It retains if the content is updated | Something new every two weeks; without it, the feed gets stale |
| A Celebrity at the Table | Reach for 1-2 days | The games are the same; the result is promotion and traffic on the day of the event |
| Streamer-branded slot | Keeps the streamer’s audience engaged | It works in conjunction with its own casino (for example, Stake); outside of it, it’s just a regular slot |
| Game shows with a visual hook | Retains | The category’s growth is confirmed by the Evolution report |

Responsible Gaming: Where the Format Clashes with the Rules

The British regulator imposed speed limits before the introduction of swipe feeds. As of October 31, 2021, slot spins faster than 2.5 seconds, autoplay, and win sounds when a player breaks even or loses are prohibited in the UK. “The data shows that these features increase the risk of harm to customers,” said Neil McArthur, then-CEO of the Gambling Commission.
Starting January 17, 2025, the rules have applied to all other casino games: a minimum of 5 seconds between rounds, a ban on turbo and slam stop modes, and the mandatory display of the net result and session time. Starting in April–May 2025, the maximum bet on online slots is limited to £5, and to £2 for players aged 18–24. An 8–10-second swipe round is technically longer than the minimum, but a 3–5-second decision window and an endless feed are exactly what regulators are looking for (a 15M assessment).
Celebrities are the second risk area. In the Netherlands, operators are prohibited from using role models in advertisements; in June 2025, the KSA issued a warning to BetMGM for an advertisement featuring 17-year-old Lamine Yamal. As of October 18, 2022, Twitch has banned streams of unlicensed slot machines, roulette, and craps. A study by the University of Sydney (350 viewers, 25 channels, April 2025) showed that most viewers said they felt more inclined to gamble after watching the streams, and that age restrictions were ineffective.
What does that mean?
To Providers: Concentrate on quickly demonstrable mechanical features and update frequency. Celebrities are a reach budget, not a retention tool. Design swipe formats to fulfil the 2.5- and 5-second requirements of UK regulations from the outset, as it’s redesigning later costs more.
To Operators (Product Teams): The feed format is a great way to structure the mobile experience, where 75% of operators’ GGR on Evolution comes from, but test for retention and players’ net outcomes, not clicks. Check if celebs are allowed in promos for every jurisdiction.
To Streamers and Video Affiliates: Your main asset is attention, which is highly concentrated: 3 channels amassed 42 million hours in January alone. Short-form content is simple to produce and edit, but platforms and regulators are keen on the audience age and links to unlicensed sites. Work with licensed brands and include responsible gambling banners in your videos.
