PrizePicks Launches $1 Packs With $16M in Rare Cards

The product launched October 21 across all 50 US states and Washington, DC. Packs cover basketball, football and Pokémon, with nine price tiers reaching $2,500.
Four Featured Cards Total $16.07 Million
The launch announcement names four high-value collectibles:
- Cooper Flagg – $8,040,000;
- Dylan Harper – $2,880,000;
- Kon Knueppel – $2,340,000;
- 1998 Pikachu Illustrator – $2,806,271.
Together, they are valued at $16,066,271, based on a 15M calculation using the company’s figures. The three NBA debut patch cards alone account for $13.26 million.
All four cards can appear at any price level within their respective pack categories. The $1 pack offers the possibility to get one, but the chances are higher for higher-priced packs. Customers will be aware of their chances and value ranges beforehand.
Buyback Money Can Fund Sports Picks
Once a pack has been opened, one can either get the card shipped or sell it to PrizePicks at its current market value. The proceeds go back to their account and can be used to make sports picks or open other packs.
The Packs Terms of Service give customers three days to request shipping or accept a buyback offer for cards kept in storage, after which standard cards are automatically bought back. Shipping comes at an additional cost. Cards labeled as “Shipment-Only” are not eligible for buybacks, and customers learn about that restriction after purchase.
For the launch, PrizePicks is also offering new customers $25 in bonus packs when they buy their first $5 pack using a sign-up promo code.
