Pixbet Given 10 Days to Respond to R$814,567 SPA Fine

Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting has formally notified Pixbet of a R$814,567.44 penalty. The operator can pay the fine or appeal within 10 days of the August 31 publication.

A new enforcement case involving Pixbet has entered its response stage in Brazil. The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, known as the SPA, published a citation notice concerning Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda. in the Official Gazette of the Union on August 31.

The notice itself carries an August 26 date.

Pixbet Can Pay or Challenge the Decision

The SPA set the penalty at R$814,567.44 and cited Article 41, item III, of Law No. 14,790/2023 as its legal basis. If the company accepts the sanction, the payment must be made through PagTesouro into the National Treasury’s Single Account. The regulator included the required collection instructions in its filing. An appeal is also available during the same period under SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,233/2024.

Pixbet must submit either its challenge or proof of payment electronically through the Electronic Information System. The case is registered under process No. 19995.009781/2025-37.

Regulator Could Not Deliver the Notice Directly

The document does give additional information about the notification process. According to the SPA, Pixbet could not be found at the address recorded in the systems of the Subsecretariat for Sanctioning Action. The regulator therefore used publication in the Official Gazette to formally notify the company.

The notice does not say that the registered-address issue was itself the violation that resulted in the R$814,567.44 sanction. That leaves the public document focused mainly on procedure: the amount due, the legal reference, the appeal route and the deadline now facing Pixbet.

Missed Deadline Opens the Debt Collection Route

There is also a defined next step if the company takes no action. The SPA said an unpaid and uncontested amount can be sent for registration in Dívida Ativa da União, Brazil’s federal active-debt system. That would take the penalty out of the initial response stage and place it into the government’s debt collection framework.

Pixbet’s response will determine whether the case remains under administrative review or moves to the collection stage.
