Grandstand Name Marks Gambling.com Group’s Broader Business Shift

Grandstand’s ordinary shares began trading under the new ticker GRSD at the Nasdaq market open on July 23. The company previously traded under the ticker GAMB.
This change does not impact the listing of the company on the Nasdaq Global Market nor its CUSIP number. No actions are required by existing shareholders.
Grandstand changed its corporate documents to the Grandstand name on July 16.
Gambling.com Remains an Active Brand
Gambling.com will retain its brand name and remain a part of the company as one of the brands in the larger portfolio. Since the firm went public through its IPO in 2021, it has ventured out of performance marketing.
In addition to Gambling.com, Grandstand also operates Casinos.com and WhichBingo.
Sports Data Broadens the Model
Grandstand’s sports data operations are built around OpticOdds and RotoWire:
- OpticOdds supplies real-time odds and line movement data to sportsbooks, market makers, and trading teams;
- RotoWire provides player news, injury reports, projections, and other sports content to fantasy platforms, betting products, and media companies.
These services allow Grandstand to be directly involved in the infrastructure used by commercial partners. Also, it allows reducing the dependency of Grandstand on affiliate-related income streams.
Adtech and Monetization Add New Revenue
Grandstand has also expanded its advertising technology operations. The firm connects gambling operators with their audiences through its own media properties.
Grandstand Partners is the service that offers monetization and commercial services to publishers, apps, content providers, and online communities. This unit enables other businesses to earn money off their audience without developing their own gambling advertising infrastructure.
This adds adtech and audience monetization services to a business that was previously associated mainly with affiliate marketing.
Spotlight.Vegas Adds an Offline Business
The company’s operations are not confined to sports betting and online casino media. Spotlight.Vegas offers tickets and entertainment related to Las Vegas casinos, hotels, attractions, and venues. This allows the company to diversify its revenue stream, providing one that is related to the gambling industry but does not rely directly on wagering activity.
This also explains why the former corporate name had become restrictive. Several parts of the portfolio fall outside the traditional definition of gambling affiliate marketing.
New Name Supports Further Expansion
The rebrand is mainly administrative in terms of shareholder relations, but the strategic implications are much wider.
Grandstand wants to be viewed as a data, advertising and technology business serving the sports, gaming and entertainment sectors, rather than only as a gambling affiliate. The broader corporate identity also gives the company more room to expand into products and services that do not fit under a gambling-focused name.
Future financial reports will show whether sports data, advertising, audience monetization, and ticketing are accounting for a larger share of the company’s revenue.
