Betsson Upside Users Generated 109% More GGR Before B2B Launch

Sporting Solutions and Spotlight Sports Group announced the wider rollout on September 15. Upside is placed before kickoff but stays active during the match. Goals, corners or cards can push the payout higher, with operator limits available at 10x, 25x or 50x.
Betsson first used the format around last season’s Champions League semi-finals. It was later available on all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup.
Betsson Users Staked 27.5% More
Three figures came out of the Betsson rollout:
- 109% higher GGR
- 27.5% higher stake
- 1.8x 28-day retention
The data highlighted on the Upside product page covers April 17 to July 22.
For the comparison, Betsson used recreational customers with at least 10 settled bets and average stakes of €50 or less.
Upside says there was no dedicated bonus campaign. The product was also sixth on the event page, below the fold.
Retention reached 18% after 28 days, compared with 9.7% for the other group. Player margin was 15.1% higher. By 15M’s calculation, the GGR increase was 3.96 times the rise in stake.
The figures are presented as a customer cohort comparison.
NordicBet Took Upside First
NordicBet was the first Betsson brand to launch the Total Goals version. The rest of the group followed within two weeks, according to a separate Upside case study.
That document gives two more figures from the early rollout: a 12% margin on Upside markets and one in five pre-match Total Goals bets going to the format without dedicated promotion.
The September announcement changes who can use it. Sporting Solutions is now making Upside available to other operators through its Odds Services feed. Football is first, while a basketball version is due later in September ahead of the new NBA season.
