1xBet Extends PGL Esports Partnership Through 2029
The new agreement extends a partnership that was previously due to expire at the end of 2026 and will cover Tier-1 competitions and Majors, according to an announcement from 1xAffiliates. The companies said the renewed partnership will include integrations across tournament broadcasts and digital platforms, as well as joint activities around PGL events.
“Extending our partnership through 2029 will allow us to strengthen our connection with the audience and create more opportunities to engage with fans,” 1xBet said in the announcement.
PGL said the companies plan to develop new formats and projects under the extended agreement.
Partnership Extended by Three Years
PGL originally named 1xBet its exclusive global betting partner in February 2025 under a two-year agreement running through the end of 2026. The original deal covered PGL’s Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 events and included advertising placements during broadcasts as well as broadcasting rights for 1xBet.
The extension adds three years to that arrangement at a time when PGL is expanding its tournament calendar. PGL has six Counter-Strike 2 events scheduled for 2027 and eight for 2028, or 14 across the two seasons. It has separately scheduled four Dota 2 tournaments in each of those years.
That means PGL already has at least 22 CS2 and Dota 2 events announced for 2027-2028, before its 2029 calendar is included.
What It means
For 1xBet, the extension secures long-term betting-brand exposure around two of the largest esports betting disciplines as PGL expands its event schedule.
For affiliates working with esports traffic, the agreement also provides a longer planning window around PGL tournaments, with 1xBet set to remain attached to the organiser’s major CS2 and Dota 2 properties through 2029. The next major PGL Counter-Strike event is the Singapore Major, scheduled for November 25 to December 13, 2026.
