SCCG Management Names Jose Augusto Paulista as Brazil Country Manager

Advisory firm SCCG Management appoints compliance veteran to lead Brazilian operations.

SCCG Management appointed Jose Augusto Paulista as Country Manager for its newly established Brazil division. The Las Vegas-based advisory firm specialises in gambling and gaming industry consulting.

Paulista has 18 years of compliance and risk operations experience in the gambling sector. His career includes senior positions at Entain, PokerStars, Lottoland, and Dazn Bet.

He developed AML frameworks, payment solutions, and fraud mitigation strategies across regulated jurisdictions. These include the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Gibraltar markets.

Paulista speaks four languages and holds certification from the International Compliance Association in Anti-Money Laundering.

Brazil’s gambling sector recently underwent regulation, creating new market conditions. SCCG views this as a significant business opportunity in South America.

The company aims to connect global technology and service providers with Brazilian operators. This includes companies offering payments, sportsbook platforms, AI-powered risk management, CRM systems, and fraud detection services.

SCCG has been expanding into emerging markets including Africa, India, and other Latin American countries. Brazil represents another step in this geographic expansion strategy.

The firm sees Brazil as one of the fastest-developing iGaming and sports betting markets globally.

SCCG Brazil will function as the regional arm of the company’s advisory operations. The division will offer business development services, compliance guidance, and market entry support.

Services include regulatory strategy and licensing support for companies entering Brazil’s gambling market. The office will also provide payments and chargeback advisory services.

AML and KYC system implementation represents another core service area. SCCG Brazil will help operators establish these compliance frameworks.

The division will offer strategic partnership development and managed services. These aim to help clients manage regulatory requirements while pursuing business growth.

“Proud to take the next step in my iGaming journey by joining the SCCG family as Country Manager for Brazil,” Paulista said. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Stephen Crystal and the SCCG team.

The appointment gives SCCG a direct presence in Brazil’s newly regulated gambling sector. International companies gain access to local expertise for market entry.

Brazilian operators can access global service providers through SCCG’s network. This includes technology solutions and compliance services from international markets.

Stephen Crystal, SCCG’s Founder and CEO, described Paulista as “one of the most accomplished compliance and operations leaders in our industry.”

Crystal characterised the Brazil initiative as “a major opportunity to help our partners unlock value in one of the most dynamic gaming markets worldwide.”

SCCG Brazil will focus on regulatory framework navigation and connecting global innovation with local market requirements. This approach mirrors the company’s strategy in other emerging markets.

The new office positions SCCG to serve clients across Brazil’s developing gambling industry.
