Latin America Social Casino Revenue Forecast at $1.57B by 2030

The region represented 10.5% of global social casino revenue in 2024. Grand View Research expects Latin American revenue to grow at a 9.7% compound annual rate between 2025 and 2030. That is slightly above the 8.9% rate projected for the global market over the same period.
Mobile Distribution Supports the Upside
Social casino growth is closely tied to mobile distribution. These products package casino-style slots, poker, and other games as app-based entertainment, with virtual currency used inside the game. Slots were the largest revenue segment in Latin America in 2024 and are also forecast to post the fastest growth.
Grand View Research points to mobile access and faster connectivity as key growth drivers for the wider sector. Individual apps already operate at significant scale: Huuuge Casino, for example, has passed 50 million downloads on Google Play worldwide.
That reach gives publishers a relatively direct route into markets where smartphone gaming is already established. It also separates social casino expansion from the licensing model used by real-money online casinos.
Social Casino and Sweepstakes Are Different Models
Social casinos and sweepstakes casinos can look similar, but their currency systems work differently. A conventional social casino uses virtual credits that cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes. Sweepstakes casinos add a promotional currency, often called Sweeps Coins, which may become eligible for prize redemption. Gold Coins or similar credits remain the play-for-fun side of the product.
That difference is important when reading the market figures. The $892.5 million estimate covers the broader social casino category. It should not be treated as a direct measure of prize-based sweepstakes casino revenue.
US Restrictions Show the Regulatory Split
Sweepstakes-style products have faced tighter scrutiny in the United States. New York authorities said 26 platforms agreed to end the sale of sweepstakes coins in the state in 2025. California later enacted AB 831, with its restrictions on specified online sweepstakes games taking effect on January 1, 2026. Those actions appear to show why the two business models should be measured separately.
For the region, the commercial signal is clearer than the regulatory one. Grand View Research’s forecast implies social casino revenue rising by roughly 76% from its 2024 level by 2030. Mobile distribution and spending on virtual items provide the growth case. Prize-based mechanics bring a separate legal question, and their expansion may follow a different path.
