Gaming1 Buys 100% of Pac-Man Behind Carousel.be

Gaming1 has bought 100% of Pac-Man NV, the Belgian company operating Carousel.be. The transaction closed on September 22 and was made public two days later.

Gaming1 announced the acquisition on September 24. No price was disclosed. The two companies were not new to each other. Pac-Man had worked with Gaming1 since 2012.

That arrangement has now ended with Gaming1 taking full ownership of Pac-Man. Gaming1 said Pac-Man’s activities would be integrated immediately. No employees are moving as part of the deal.

The announcement also refers to Pac-Man’s licence and digital portfolio.

Pac-Man Still Holds Carousel’s B+ Licence

Carousel’s own legal pages show what sits inside the company Gaming1 has bought. The terms updated September 2 name Pac-Man NV as the owner and operator of Carousel.be. They also list licence B+4248.

This is the Belgian online casino licence used by Carousel. It is held by Pac-Man itself, rather than by a separate Gaming1 company.

At the time of this check, those published details have not changed after the September 22 acquisition. Gaming1’s website is also still using the older wording for Carousel. It lists the brand among its Belgian operations and describes it as being operated “in partnership.”

711 Uses a Different Licence Holder

There is one useful boundary to the deal. 711.be uses another licence holder. Its privacy statement names Max Lobo & Co NV, while the Belgian Gaming Commission’s current B+ table lists 711 under licence B+4097.

The Pac-Man transaction therefore covers Carousel’s operator entity and its B+4248 licence. The 711.be licence holder remains outside the deal.
