Inspired Becomes First External Game Supplier for Massachusetts iLottery

Inspired Becomes First External Game Supplier for Massachusetts iLottery
Inspired Entertainment has become the first third-party game content supplier on Massachusetts' new iLottery platform. Its virtual horse racing game, Post Time Payout, is now available to players, less than three months after the state launched online lottery sales.

The company announced the launch on October 21. The game is delivered through Fusion, the content aggregation platform operated by Aristocrat Interactive, which runs the Massachusetts Lottery’s digital system.

Virtual Racing Rules Approved in September

Massachusetts lottery officials had discussed Post Time Payout publicly before Inspired’s announcement. At a September 22 meeting, the State Lottery Commission unanimously approved rules covering the virtual racing game.

Executive Director Mark William Bracken explained that winners would be selected by a random number generator. The horses shown on screen represent the result of a drawing. Their movements do not decide the outcome.

The September 23 account of the commission meeting also distinguished the product from betting on historical horse races, which Massachusetts lawmakers had considered separately.

The game was expected to arrive in October. Inspired confirmed its availability 29 days after the commission vote.

First Outside Supplier Announced 86 Days After Launch

Mass Lottery Online opened on July 27, 2026. A comparison of that date with Inspired’s announcement gives an 86-day interval between the platform launch and its first external game supplier.

The rollout followed this timeline:

  • July 27 – Massachusetts launches its online lottery platform;
  • September 22 – Lottery commissioners approve the virtual racing game rules, 57 days later;
  • October 21 – Inspired announces that Post Time Payout is live, another 29 days after approval.

Aristocrat Interactive initially provided the platform and its launch content. Its July announcement listed more than 20 eInstant games from NeoGames Studio, alongside draw-based games and titles from Aristocrat’s own portfolio.

Inspired is the first independent content provider identified as going live through the system. Fusion allows its virtual sports product to reach lottery customers without Inspired operating a separate consumer-facing lottery platform.

Virginia Launched Three Sports Through Fusion

Inspired and Aristocrat have used Fusion for virtual sports in another US lottery. In June 2025, the companies launched football, basketball and horse-racing draw games for the Virginia Lottery, working through NeoPollard Interactive.

Massachusetts has started with horse racing alone. Inspired’s status as the first outside supplier applies to the Massachusetts platform, not to virtual sports in US lotteries, where Virginia had already introduced the format.

Neither Inspired nor Aristocrat has announced additional virtual sports titles or other outside studios for Massachusetts. More Inspired games would broaden the catalogue; a second independent studio would show Fusion distributing content from multiple external suppliers on the state’s platform. Financial terms for the current integration have not been disclosed.
