bet365 Appears in 12 European Licensed Top 10 Rankings

bet365 Appears in 12 European Licensed Top 10 Rankings
bet365 appeared in the national Top 10 lists of licensed iGaming brands in 12 European markets, twice as many as any other operator in a new SiGMA/Blask ranking. Betclic entered only three country lists but finished first in two.

The SiGMA Europe Market Report, based on data from iGaming analytics platform Blask, examines 36 European countries from September 2025 through August 2026.

The Gap Between First and Second Is Six Countries

Blask ranked licensed brands separately in each country using its Brand’s Accumulated Power (BAP) metric, which measures a brand’s share of tracked consumer interest. The report then counted how often each brand appeared in a national Top 10:

  • 12 countries: bet365;
  • 6 countries each: Betano, Unibet, bwin;
  • 4 countries each: Maxbet, OlyBet, Fortuna;
  • 3 countries each: Betclic, Fonbet, Optibet.

Betano, Unibet and bwin share second place, each with six entries. The three have different geographic profiles. The report identifies Romania, Portugal and Czechia among Betano’s stronger markets, while Unibet appears in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Nordic-Baltic countries. bwin’s placements include Spain, Belgium, Greece, France, Germany and Portugal.

BAP is not the same as GGR, NGR or reported revenue. Nor does appearing in 12 country lists mean bet365 holds licences in only 12 countries.

Betclic and bet365 Have Two First Places Each

bet365 ranks first in Great Britain and Spain. Betclic leads France and Portugal.

The difference becomes clearer when those first places are compared with the brands’ total Top 10 appearances. For bet365, two first-place rankings out of 12 appearances represent 16.7%. For Betclic, two out of three represent 66.7%.

That is a fourfold difference in the proportion of first-place finishes within each brand’s ranked markets. It does not establish that Betclic is bigger overall. The calculation uses different sets of countries, with no weighting for market size.

bet365 also appears among the top four in eight other European markets, according to the report. Its ranking therefore rests on repeated high placements rather than just the wins in Great Britain and Spain.

Regional Leaders Appear Lower Down the List

Maxbet enters four national Top 10 lists and ranks first in Serbia. OlyBet also has four appearances, including first place in Estonia. Optibet appears three times and leads Latvia.

Fonbet has three entries and ranks first in Russia. Russia needs a distinction here: the report classifies sports betting as regulated but casino gambling as unregulated. The Fonbet position should not be taken as evidence of a licensed online casino market.

Fortuna has four appearances, across Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Romania.

What the Rankings Mean for GEO Selection

For affiliates, the ranking provides a starting point for comparing brand visibility across European markets. Traffic economics require a separate assessment of acquisition costs, deposit conversion and player value.

Local advertising restrictions and available affiliate offers also matter when selecting a GEO.
