Codere Online Luxembourg became the main sponsor of Rayadas, the women’s team of Club de Futbol Monterrey. The NASDAQ-listed company (CDRO/CDROW) operates online gaming platforms in Spain and Latin America.
Rayadas competes in Liga MX Femenil as a multi-champion women’s team. Club de Futbol Monterrey operates both men’s and women’s professional football teams.
Carlos Sabanza, Director of Sponsorships and Public Relations at Codere Online, called becoming the main sponsor “a clear priority” since the partnership with the broader club began.
The deal extends Codere’s existing relationship with Club de Futbol Monterrey. The company already serves as the Official Betting Partner for Rayados, the men’s team, while maintaining front-of-shirt sponsorship.
“This partnership underlines our continued growth in Mexico, where Codere.mx remains one of the foremost online gaming platforms,” said Alberto Telias, Chief Marketing Officer at Codere Online.
The sponsorship targets women’s football development in Mexico. Codere Online describes this as part of its institutional commitment to the development and professionalisation of women’s sport in the country.
Pedro Esquivel, Executive President of Club de Futbol Monterrey, said the club was “delighted to extend our relationship with Codere Online.”
The Codere Online logo now appears on the front of Rayadas match-day jerseys. The branding debuted July 13th during the opening fixture against Pumas in matchday one of the Apertura 25 tournament.
The logo will be present when Rayadas compete for the “Campeón de Campeonas” trophy against Pachuca in San Antonio, Texas, on July 16th. It will continue throughout the remainder of the season.
Codere Online and Rayadas plan to collaborate on campaigns, activations and fan experiences. These initiatives target elevating the profile of women’s football in Mexico.
The sponsorship combines digital engagement with in-stadium initiatives. The partnership reflects what both parties describe as shared values of equity, excellence and game growth.
Sabanza stated it’s “an honour to support one of the strongest teams in Liga MX Femenil and to help drive greater visibility for women’s football.”
The deal demonstrates increased corporate investment in women’s professional sports in Mexico. Major online gaming operators are expanding their presence in women’s football sponsorship.
The partnership could influence other Liga MX Femenil teams to secure similar main sponsorship deals. Corporate backing helps drive the professionalisation of women’s football.
The collaboration promises what Esquivel called “exciting developments ahead” for both organisations.
In June 2025, Codere Online revealed the results of its latest annual general meeting (AGM), where A.G. Burnett was appointed as Chairman of the Compliance Committee. Burnett joins the role with five years of experience as Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
