BurraPay Adds Crypto Funding to WDTS Platform Used on 5,000+ Tables

BurraPay has signed an integration deal with Walker Digital Table Systems, taking its crypto funding technology from a Nevada sportsbook into the table-games segment. WDTS says its technology is used on more than 5,000 gaming tables.
The agreement was announced on September 22. BurraPay’s Direct-to-Device system will be connected with WDTS’s Perfect Pay platform.
A player would be able to fund a wagering account with cryptocurrency at the gaming table. A trip to the casino cage would not be required. BurraPay also says the payment process includes AML controls and blockchain transaction monitoring.
5,000+ Is the WDTS Base
WDTS technology is currently deployed on more than 5,000 tables in Asia, Australia and North America. Those are not 5,000 crypto-enabled tables.
The figure describes the existing WDTS installation base. BurraPay’s payment option still needs to be introduced by individual casino customers, and use of the system is subject to regulatory approval in each jurisdiction.
Perfect Pay covers table operations rather than payments alone. On its product page, WDTS lists player ratings, table management and game integrity among the functions that can be automated.
No rollout number or launch date was disclosed on September 22.
Circa Came 110 Days Earlier
BurraPay already has one regulated US deployment. It went live at Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in June. The first crypto-funded sports wager was processed there on June 4, according to BurraPay.
Bryce Hall, who placed the wager, said the next day that he had sent $350,000 worth of Bitcoin to Circa to bet. That figure describes the amount of BTC he transferred for betting, not handle, GGR or casino revenue.
By 15M’s calculation, 110 days passed between the June 4 wager and the September 22 WDTS agreement.
Rollout Has Not Started Yet
The two cases cover different parts of the casino. Circa started with sportsbook funding. The WDTS agreement takes BurraPay into a system used at live gaming tables.
BurraPay and WDTS plan to demonstrate the integration at WDTS’s Las Vegas headquarters from September 29 to October 1.
For now, the 5,000+ figure remains WDTS’s installed footprint. The companies have not said how many of those tables will get the crypto funding option.
