5% Service Fee Applies to Crypto Deposits at SAHARA

5% Service Fee Applies to Crypto Deposits at SAHARA
Players using cryptocurrency at SAHARA Las Vegas pay a 5% BurraPay service fee on their deposits. The casino added the payment option in October, accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin at its cashier. Winnings, however, are paid in US dollars rather than crypto.

BurraPay announced the launch on October 14. The company describes SAHARA as the first casino on the Las Vegas Strip to announce compliant crypto-funded gaming transactions at its cage. The property is operated by the Meruelo Group.

A $1,000 Deposit Adds $50 in Fees

The commission is listed on SAHARA’s official casino page, alongside the instructions for using the service. At 5%, a $1,000 deposit carries a $50 BurraPay charge.

Players must be at least 21 and have an Infinity Rewards account. Transactions take place at the casino cage, which operates around the clock.

First-time users have to verify their identity before making a deposit. SAHARA gives customers 15 minutes to complete the crypto transfer at the quoted rate. Once the payment clears, they can collect their chips or ticket from the cashier.

SAHARA also makes clear that the service is not available for hotel rooms or dining. Crypto is accepted for funding casino play, while gambling activity and payouts remain denominated in dollars.

From Circa’s Sportsbook to SAHARA’s Cashier

Circa was BurraPay’s first announced Nevada location. On June 4, the company’s system processed a crypto-funded sports wager at the downtown Las Vegas resort. SAHARA is the next named property, although its new service is offered through the casino cage.

BurraPay is also working with Walker Digital Table Systems on payments made directly at gaming tables. That agreement was covered in 15M’s September report. The table integration remains subject to regulatory approval and is separate from the live service at SAHARA.

BurraPay has found a second Nevada casino willing to offer the service. Whether guests are willing to pay 5% to use it is a separate question.
