ReferOn Logs 130+ Actions Across Affiliate Platform
ReferOn has added Audit Logs to its affiliate platform, giving operators a record of more than 130 actions made inside the system. The logs cover changes to payments, affiliate settings, marketing sources and other backend records.
The feature went live on September 25. According to Asia Gaming Brief, each logged action can be tied to the account that made it. ReferOn stores the username, User ID and Session ID together with timestamps for the event.
IP and location data are also available. For some records, the system shows the URL used for the request and the underlying JSON. The data can then be exported to CSV.
Payment and Affiliate Records Can Be Filtered Separately
The search options cover Partner, Company, Media Item, Affiliate Group and Marketing Source. There are also filters for Fixed Fee and Payment ID. That makes the logs usable for more than checking whether somebody changed a general account setting.
A payment entry, for example, can be narrowed to the relevant Payment ID. An administrator can then see the user and session attached to the action, followed by the IP, location and request data stored with it.
The same trail can be used for changes involving affiliate groups or commission-related settings. ReferOn has more than 130 predefined actions in the log.
What the Log Actually Leaves Behind
A useful way to read the update is by following one backend change from start to finish:
There is first the action itself. Then comes the user and session attached to it. After that, ReferOn can retain the request URL, IP and GEO data.
Raw JSON provides another record of what was sent through the platform, while CSV export gives administrators a copy outside the interface.
What It Means for Affiliates
For affiliate teams, the important part is where those records overlap with commercial settings. Fixed Fee, Payment ID and commission-related changes can now be traced back through the same log instead of only showing the platform’s current value.
That does not decide whether an operator or affiliate is right in a commercial dispute. It does, however, leave a record of what was changed inside ReferOn, when it happened and which account made the change.
