Pragmatic Play Adds Two New Options to Privé Lounge Blackjack

The update introduces Face Down Double Down and Split After Split to the supplier’s VIP-focused live blackjack product. Both affect decisions that already exist in conventional blackjack rather than adding a separate bonus round or side game:
- One changes when a card is revealed;
- The other allows another split under qualifying conditions.
A Double Down With the Card Kept Hidden
Face Down Double Down lets a player double the original stake and receive another card, but that card stays face down while the dealer finishes the hand. Its value is revealed afterwards.
The wager itself follows the familiar double-down format. The difference is in the timing. Players commit to the decision without immediately seeing the additional card, giving the round a different pace without changing the basic structure of blackjack.
The feature is currently exclusive to Privé Lounge Blackjack.
Repeat Splits Push RTP to 99.51%
Split After Split changes another established blackjack decision. When an initial pair is split and an eligible pair is created in one of the resulting hands, the player can split again. This opens another route through hands that would previously have continued without a second split.
Pragmatic Play says the rule takes the game’s RTP to 99.51%. The supplier introduced another related mechanic last year. Double Down After Split allows players to increase their wager on hands created after an initial split. The latest release continues that approach, with extra options being added around standard blackjack decisions.
Privé Lounge Keeps Its VIP Format
The new rules sit inside Pragmatic Play’s Privé Lounge rather than its full blackjack range. The product is positioned around individual live play and a higher level of table service. Available options include dealer changes, longer dealer sessions and shoe reshuffles. Dedicated hosts are also part of the format.
Pragmatic Play has kept those service features separate from the two new game rules. The latest change is focused on the hands themselves rather than a wider redesign of the table.
Blackjack Rules Become Another Product Lever
Live casino suppliers have fewer ways to alter blackjack than they do with game shows or slot-style products. The core rules are familiar, and changing too much can make the table feel like a different game.
Pragmatic Play is taking a narrower route. It is adding decisions around splitting and doubling while leaving the main blackjack structure intact.
For operators, this creates another point of difference inside a crowded live casino lobby without requiring an entirely new game concept. The 99.51% RTP attached to Split After Split is also a concrete selling point. The bigger test will be whether VIP players actually use the added choices often enough for the rules to become part of the table’s identity.
