Playtech Unit Joins UAE’s Licensed Gaming Supplier List
VSTechnology Limited has secured approval to supply gaming-related products or services in the United Arab Emirates. Its addition takes the GCGRA’s public vendor register to 23 companies.

VSTechnology Limited is included in the list of gaming-related vendors provided by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority. The link leads straight to the corporate website of Playtech.

Playtech’s filings identify VS Technology Limited as a UK-incorporated company wholly owned by the group. It was acquired through the purchase of Gaming Technology Solutions, which owned VS Technology and VS Gaming.

Playtech Gets a UAE Route

The public register does not show the approval date, license number, or specific products and services covered. The public entry, therefore, does not define the commercial scope of the license. It confirms VSTechnology’s licensed status but does not state whether the approval covers casino content, platform technology, operational services, or a narrower product range.

The GCGRA defines gaming-related vendors as suppliers of gaming equipment or related goods and services. The GCGRA is the UAE’s federal authority responsible for licensing and regulating commercial gaming.

Supplier Base Expands Ahead of Operator Market

VSTechnology joins a vendor list that includes Aristocrat, Novomatic, Scientific Games, LNW Gaming, Konami, IGT, and Sportradar. The register also includes GeoComply, GG UAE, Hub88, and Endorphina, as well as several lottery, gaming equipment, and technology suppliers.

The extent of the list is, however, very different from that of the operators in the industry. The Game LLC is the sole listed UAE Lottery operator. Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, trading as Wynn Al Marjan, is the sole listed land-based gaming facilities licensee.

Coin Technology Projects LLC is the single firm listed in the internet gaming and sports wagering categories. There are no other operators on these lists at present.

The register currently contains far more suppliers than consumer-facing operators. However, it does not provide a timetable for licensing additional operators.

Licensing Controls the Supply Chain

The GCGRA requires businesses and individuals to hold a valid license before conducting or facilitating commercial gaming activities in the UAE. The requirement also covers third parties supplying gaming-related products or services to licensed operators.

Supplier approval is therefore an important part of the UAE’s regulated gaming supply chain. A vendor license provides regulatory access, but commercial activity will still depend on agreements with licensed operators and the scope of the approval.

For Playtech, the listing creates a position inside a market attracting major international suppliers. The near-term opportunity remains difficult to measure. The public register now lists 23 vendors, while each operator category contains only one named licensee. Commercial value will depend on which operators enter next and how quickly approved suppliers can convert regulatory access into contracts.
