GOAL Publishes Fresh India Betting Guides Months After Federal Advertising Ban

GOAL Publishes Fresh India Betting Guides Months After Federal Advertising Ban
GOAL’s Indian edition published an updated betting guide on October 5, months after India’s online money gaming restrictions took effect. The page promotes 25 betting sites and tells Indian readers how to register, deposit funds and place a bet.

The main October betting-sites guide puts Stake first and 1xBet second. GOAL lists a 200% Stake bonus of up to ₹120,000 (about $1,246) and a 400% 1xBet offer of up to ₹70,000 (about $727), including the 1GLIN promo code. USD conversions use the October 5 RBI reference rate.

The same page tells readers how to fund an account and names UPI, Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm among the payment options. Other GOAL India pages dated October 2–3 cover cricket betting, live betting, UPI bookmakers and individual offshore brands. One Stake guide says Indian users can register, deposit in INR and place bets.

Advertising Ban Has Applied Since May

India’s 2026 online gaming rules came into force on May 1, putting the 2025 federal law into operation. Online money games are prohibited whether the outcome depends on skill, chance or a mix of the two.

The wording on advertising is also broad. Section 6 of the Act bars ads that directly or indirectly promote an online money game or encourage someone to play one. The law applies across India and also covers money-gaming services operated abroad when they are offered inside the country.

A first advertising offence can bring up to two years in prison, a fine of ₹5 million (about $52,500, using the April 30 RBI reference rate), or both.

Stake Offer Runs Alongside the GOAL Pages

Stake also has a current Indian Cricket – Early Six You Win offer running from October 3 to October 17. It is tied to the India-West Indies T20 series and pays up to $25 if a selected team hits a six in the first over.

That offer should not be read as proof that Stake is targeting people located in India. Its terms do not limit participation to Indian residents. The GOAL material is more relevant here because it does: the pages are written for Indian readers, use INR, discuss local payment methods and explain how to open and fund betting accounts.

15M reported in June that offshore betting advertising remained widespread after the ban. A concrete example of how this process is ongoing in GOAL’s case is that those India-focused pages link readers to offshore sportsbooks through bonuses, promo codes, and local payment info.
