FeedConstruct Expands Malta Premier League Deal With Global Rights
FeedConstruct has expanded its relationship with the Malta Premier League through a new rights agreement covering live video and official betting data. The deal gives the sports data supplier exclusive global streaming rights across the league’s full match schedule.
The arrangement also sets out a phased change for data distribution. FeedConstruct will initially provide official match data on a non-exclusive basis. After the first year, those rights are due to become exclusive.
The announcement did not disclose the value of the agreement or its full duration.
Existing Partnership Moves Into Exclusive Rights
The companies already had a working relationship before the latest agreement. FeedConstruct announced a partnership with the Malta Premier League in 2024, with data coverage beginning from the 2024/25 season.
The new structure goes further. FeedConstruct now controls worldwide video distribution for the betting market and is scheduled to gain exclusivity over official match data after the transition period.
That gives the supplier a stronger position around a single source of league content. Sportsbook partners can receive video and verified match information through FeedConstruct’s distribution infrastructure.
Malta Adds Another European Property
The Malta Premier League is the country’s top domestic football division and operates with 12 clubs. Its current competition structure uses opening and closing phases, with teams later divided according to league position.
For FeedConstruct, the agreement adds another European football property to a rights portfolio that has been expanding. The supplier has also recently announced exclusive arrangements covering Ukrainian and Welsh football.
The Malta agreement has one notable difference. Data exclusivity does not begin immediately. During the first year, official data remains non-exclusive before FeedConstruct becomes the sole rights holder under the announced structure.
Data Rights May Carry Longer-Term Weight
Streaming gives FeedConstruct an asset it can distribute globally from the start. The planned shift in official data rights could have a longer commercial effect.
Official live data feeds support areas such as in-play betting, market pricing and settlement. Limiting distribution to one rights holder can therefore narrow the number of suppliers offering the same verified source.
The Deal Gives FeedConstruct More Control
Once the transition is complete, FeedConstruct will hold both parts of the Malta Premier League betting-content package: exclusive video and exclusive official data. The structure also shows the direction of sports-data deals around smaller leagues. Combining streams and match feeds gives the rights holder tighter control over international distribution, while FeedConstruct turns an existing coverage agreement into a substantially stronger rights position.
