Evolution Opens Fourth Atlantic City Studio for Ice Fishing’s US Debut

Evolution Opens Fourth Atlantic City Studio for Ice Fishing’s US Debut
Evolution has opened its fourth live casino studio in Atlantic City, New Jersey, alongside the US launch of Ice Fishing. The game became available in New Jersey, Michigan and Delaware on November 2, although the three-state rollout tells different stories about the company's physical operations.

Evolution confirmed the opening in its November 2 announcement. The new Atlantic City studio is associated with the New Jersey launch, while the company has not disclosed its capacity, staffing levels or investment cost.

What the 26 Million Players Figure Covers

Ice Fishing made its global debut in 2025. The live game show uses a virtual wheel with 53 segments and three fishing-themed bonus games.

Evolution reported two figures for the period from its global launch through November 2, 2026:

  • More than 26 million players worldwide;
  • Over 469 million fish caught during gameplay.

Neither figure measures the game’s performance in the newly entered US markets. Evolution has yet to disclose player numbers for New Jersey, Michigan or Delaware, and the announcement does not identify participating US casino operators.

Grand Rapids Was Preparing for This Launch in May

Michigan’s Ice Fishing stream comes from Grand Rapids, where Evolution opened another live dealer studio earlier this year. That facility was already operational in May. It became the supplier’s seventh US live casino studio and its second in Michigan, following the first location opened in 2021.

Ice Fishing was part of the original Grand Rapids plans. In its May 14 press release, Evolution listed the game alongside XXXtreme Lightning Roulette among the titles scheduled for later in 2026. The November rollout brings Ice Fishing to the Grand Rapids studio, several months after Evolution first announced plans to introduce the game there.

Physical studios are a substantial part of live casino operations. Dealers, cameras, production teams and streaming equipment all sit behind the games customers see on their screens. Regulatory requirements add another layer.

When the Michigan Gaming Control Board first authorized Evolution’s live dealer operations in July 2021, its approval followed an onsite review of the company’s Southfield studio.

Delaware Was Already Part of the Studio Plan

During Evolution’s October 23 earnings call, CEO Martin Carlesund said the fourth New Jersey studio would also serve Delaware. At the time, the opening was scheduled for the fourth quarter.

The studio has now opened alongside Ice Fishing’s three-state debut. Evolution has yet to identify which facility produces the Delaware feed for this particular game.
