Evolution opens first live casino studio in Sāo Paulo Brazil

The São Paulo facility launches with localised blackjack games for Brazil's regulated iGaming market that began in January

Evolution launched its first live casino studio in Brazil. The facility operates in São Paulo and was built specifically for the country’s regulated iGaming sector.

Evolution secured the first supplier license under Brazil’s new regulatory framework. The company now operates the first fully localised live casino production facility in the country.

The studio supports Brazil’s regulated iGaming market which launched in January 2025. This represents Evolution’s entry into the Latin American market through local production capabilities.

Brazil’s regulated iGaming market created opportunities for licensed suppliers. The market launched in January under new regulatory requirements.

Evolution obtained its supplier license early in the process. The company decided local production would serve Brazilian operators and players more effectively than remote streaming.

However, Brazil’s broader gambling legislation remains uncertain. The Senate recently postponed a vote on legalising retail gambling in the country.

Senators described the postponement as beneficial for oversight and regulation. This affects the wider gambling landscape beyond online gaming.

The studio initially offers several blackjack variants in Brazilian Portuguese. These include Blackjack Clássico, Blackjack Ilimitado, and Brazilian Blackjack.

Evolution plans to localise international titles for Brazilian audiences. Crazy Time and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette will receive local adaptations.

Ice Fishing, Evolution’s 2025 release, will stream from the new studio. The game will include adaptations for the Brazilian market.

All content operates in native Brazilian Portuguese. The studio allows operators to customise games, branding, and marketing for local preferences.

The studio gives Evolution a production advantage in Brazil. Other suppliers currently stream content from international locations.

Natalia Torres, Head of Region Latin America at Evolution, commented on the launch. “We are proud to unveil Brazil’s first fully localised live casino studio,” she stated.

Torres added that “this is a major milestone not only for Evolution but also for the future of regulated iGaming in Brazil.”

The facility positions Evolution as the first supplier with local production capabilities. This may influence how other international suppliers approach the Brazilian market.

The studio represents investment in Brazil’s gaming infrastructure. It creates local employment and establishes production capabilities within the country.

Other suppliers may need similar local facilities to compete effectively. This could lead to additional international investment in Brazil’s gaming sector.

The launch occurs while Brazil’s broader gambling legislation remains in development. The regulated online market operates separately from ongoing retail gambling discussions.

This latest news follows the release of Evolution’s Q2 2025 financial results, reporting that net revenue increased 3.1% year-on-year, profits dropped 7.7% to $248.3 million, and the supplier is sticking to its full-year estimate of an EBITDA margin of 66-68%.
