ChatGPT Brings Kalshi World Cup Forecasts Into Search

ChatGPT Brings Kalshi World Cup Forecasts Into Search
ChatGPT has begun showing Kalshi market probabilities in some searches about the 2026 World Cup. The feature puts Kalshi market probabilities alongside other information returned for match-related queries.

OpenAI has confirmed the feature through an update to its ChatGPT Search help page. Predictive information from Kalshi may appear when users ask about upcoming World Cup matches.

What Is Known About Implementation

The data is marked “Source: Kalshi,” indicating that the probability is sourced from an external prediction market and is not an estimated figure from ChatGPT. The availability of the information is conditional, meaning that the panel does not necessarily show up every time a user asks something.

The use case still remains limited. At the moment, OpenAI mentions it only with regard to the 2026 World Cup. OpenAI also states that users cannot place bets through ChatGPT.

OpenAI’s help page does not describe the arrangement as a formal partnership, and neither company has announced a broader agreement. Right now, the publicly confirmed feature is the display of Kalshi-sourced information in selected World Cup search results.

Prediction Markets Gain Another Distribution Channel

In that sense, Kalshi can get visibility among users who will never visit a prediction markets website. A fan asking about an upcoming World Cup match may encounter a market-implied probability without visiting a prediction-market platform.

It broadens the use of price information related to event contracts. They are becoming increasingly common beyond the platforms where the underlying contracts are being traded.

Kalshi is already providing prediction data to CNN through its official integration announced in December 2025. It also has a multi-year exclusive partnership with CNBC. Polymarket signed a deal in January to provide prediction market information through Dow Jones media brands like The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and Barron’s.

Google announced support for Kalshi and Polymarket data in Google Finance in November 2025. The feature was designed to show market probabilities, along with changes occurring to them over time.

On the other hand, ChatGPT provides an alternative approach through which probabilities can be displayed along with the form of a team, any injuries, and the nature of the tournament being played.

Source Labels Will Be Closely Watched

Market prices are known to change even in a few minutes’ time. They also hinge on liquidity, the behavior of traders, and the exact terms of each contract.

Proper attribution is essential to take up that task. One must know the source of each percentage: whether it came from a prediction market, an analysis, or the synthesis provided by ChatGPT.

The World Cup rollout is a focused test of how this data fits into conversational search. A wider expansion could give prediction markets a regular place in searches about elections, economics and entertainment. It would also increase scrutiny over how platforms separate useful forecasting data from gambling promotion.
