Aristocrat Gaming showed off its first Hasbro-licensed slot game at G2E 2025 in Las Vegas. The Australian supplier opened a ceremonial vault at its booth to reveal Monopoly Big Board Bucks to casino operators and industry attendees.
Craig Toner, Aristocrat Gaming’s CEO, said the company wanted to blend the board game’s familiar elements with its own game mechanics. “Monopoly is one of the most globally recognised brands,” he told attendees at the unveiling.
The partnership started back in July. That’s when Aristocrat picked up Hasbro’s land-based slot license as part of a multi-year deal.
Why Hasbro Chose Aristocrat
Hasbro’s already working with other gaming suppliers this year. Evolution got the online slots and live casino rights. Galaxy Gaming picked up table games. Bally’s secured online casino integration.
But Hasbro wanted Aristocrat specifically for land-based slots. Claire Hunter Gregson from Hasbro said the partnership lets them “bring fresh, bold ways to connect our brand to adult audiences.”
The move reflects how board game companies now see casino floors as valuable brand extensions. Players already know Monopoly. So operators get instant recognition.
What the Game Brings to Casinos
The slot includes all the Monopoly staples. Players can choose their tokens. Houses and hotels appear on the reels. Free Parking and Mr. Monopoly show up too.
But it’s the bonus features that matter most to operators. Extra Spins, Extra Properties and Extra Houses can trigger together. When they do, players unlock the Big Board Bucks Bonus.
That bonus includes properties, money bags and the GO Jackpot Wheel. The game runs on Aristocrat’s Baron Portrait cabinet, which gets new signage and setup options for this title.
How This Affects Casino Floors
North American casinos should see the game in early 2026. That gives operators time to plan their floor layouts and assess player interest.
Aristocrat’s betting branded content will drive traffic. The company’s taken similar approaches with other licensed properties before. And players do tend to gravitate toward games with familiar themes.
The timing matters too. Other Hasbro games from Evolution and Galaxy Gaming will already be in market by then. So casinos can offer Monopoly across multiple formats – slots, table games and online.
This won’t be Aristocrat’s only Hasbro title either. The multi-year deal means more branded games are coming. But this first release sets the standard for what operators and players should expect from the partnership.
