Wazaa Bet Ties Early iGaming Growth to QTech Games Rollout in Sierra Leone
Wazaa Bet reported that its iGaming business has seen accelerated growth since it went live with QTech Games’ aggregation platform in Q4 2025\. The operator is also citing game mix changes and new cross-sell strategies as it readies for a football-packed summer.

In figures revealed by the company, Wazaa Bet witnessed a rise in its turnover and active player base as a result of this integration. Some key figures shared by the operator include:

  • Increase in turnover: 58% in December 2025, then 49% in January 2026;
  • Increase in active player base: 30% in February 2026.

The baseline figures were not released in this announcement, but this is being framed as an early “go-live” effect from the new aggregation layer and content expansion.

Crash-Style Titles Lead, With a Broader Supplier Mix Behind Them

Wazaa Bet claimed that the increase in early traction was largely due to higher activity in their instant and crash portfolio, with Aviator Rain being a notable contributor to this. The operator also noted the continued performance of Aviator and other popular games played during the period, namely Chicken Dash, Fist of Destruction, Blackjack X Emerald, and Ze Zeus.

In terms of suppliers, the integration added various developers through the QTech platform. Among these are Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, TaDa Gaming, Spribe, and Blueprint Gaming.

Why the Sierra Leone Angle Matters for Product Strategy

Both companies have adopted the perspective of Sierra Leone as a market where an easy-to-understand format and localized content selection can do a lot of heavy lifting. That’s especially true when the play is becoming mobile-first and sensitive to constraints like data costs and device types.

This next phase of the partnership could be cross-selling between the sportsbook and the casino offering, with football being the key acquisition channel. The timing is deliberate with the 2026 FIFA World Cup falling between 11 June and 19 July 2026, which is a busy time for sportsbooks and could lead to spillovers into the casino.

Expansion Watch: DRC Mention Signals What May Come Next

Wazaa Bet also announced that it will soon be launching in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It described the QTech deal as a preferred option after reviewing a number of aggregation options in terms of its roll-out strategy in Sierra Leone and the DRC.

This latest update will be of interest to operators in smaller, more fluid markets in Africa. It might serve as a reminder that, in addition to lobby expansion, other factors are equally important in the process. If the trend continues through the World Cup period, it could strengthen the theory that crash games can be a bridge from sportsbook traffic into casino engagement.
