VSiN just added three more cities to its radio network. The sports betting content provider signed deals in Cleveland, Charleston and Springfield, Missouri.
Cleveland’s WARF-AM 1350, which goes by “The Gambler,” is getting the biggest boost. The station already carried some VSiN shows but now it’ll run more than 20 hours of programming each weekday. Weekends go full 24/7.
Brian Musburger serves as VSiN’s President and Chief Business Officer. He’s pushing the network into more markets across the country.
Why These Markets Matter for Sports Betting Radio
Sports betting radio needs local presence to work. These three markets give VSiN a foothold in regions where betting is growing fast.
Cleveland’s deal is the most substantial. The station carries established shows like VSiN By the Books plus local content including The Ohio Betting Hour with Adam Burke. That local angle matters. Ohio launched legal sports betting in 2023 and the market’s still developing.
Charleston’s overnight slot (9pm to 6am on WIWF-FM 96.9 HD-3) might seem odd. But late-night is when West Coast games finish and when bettors often review their plays.
The station flips to 24/7 VSiN on weekends when betting activity peaks.
What Each Station Gets from VSiN
The programming varies by market but each station gets access to VSiN’s full content library.
Springfield’s KOSP-FM 102.1 “The Won” runs up to 17 hours daily on weekdays. Weekends carry VSiN shows except when the station airs live sports broadcasts.
VSiN Action Updates will also appear on other Springfield-area stations. Charleston’s WIWF is part of Cumulus Media’s portfolio, which owns multiple regional stations. So the deal could extend VSiN’s reach beyond just one frequency.
All three stations get analysis, betting insights and expert commentary designed to help listeners make wagering decisions. It’s not just score updates.
How This Positions VSiN in Sports Media
Musburger said VSiN is now “the largest sports betting radio network in the country, by far.” With these additions, that’s probably accurate.
“We’re thrilled to bring these radio markets the news, analysis and expert insights listeners need to make more informed wagering decisions,” Musburger said.
The expansion follows other recent moves. Earlier this month VSiN partnered with Are You Watching This?! to create Game Finder, a tool that connects sports fans with live betting opportunities.
Traditional sports radio struggled as podcasts grew. But VSiN found a niche by focusing exclusively on betting content. As more states legalise sports betting, demand for this specialised programming grows.
The company isn’t just adding stations randomly. They’re targeting markets with legal sports betting and room for growth. That strategic approach suggests VSiN sees radio as a long-term distribution channel despite the shift to digital content.
