Sorare Appears Twice in France’s JONUM Register After New ANJ Filing

Sorare Appears Twice in France’s JONUM Register After New ANJ Filing
France's gambling regulator has recorded a second JONUM declaration from Sorare. The latest filing covers an offering named SORARE, following an earlier declaration for SORARE PRO in March.

The Autorité nationale des jeux (ANJ) published receipt No. 2026-04 on October 7. It confirms that Sorare submitted a complete declaration on October 2 for a gaming offering bearing the company’s name.

There is an important limit to what this paperwork establishes. The regulator confirms that the dossier is complete, but expressly states that the receipt does not determine whether the offering complies with all applicable laws.

Sorare Already Had an April JONUM Filing

The October declaration is not Sorare’s first under the French system. An earlier ANJ document, numbered 2026-02, covers SORARE PRO. That declaration was submitted on March 31, with the receipt issued on April 16.

Both filings carry the same company registration number, 844 355 727. Their declared offering names, however, are different.

That distinction makes the regulator’s current list worth a closer look. Four JONUM offerings were listed on the ANJ website as of October 8: CyLimit, Sorare Pro, MFL (Meta Football League) and Sorare. In other words, Sorare accounts for two of the four listed offerings, rather than appearing as a single entry.

The company had discussed its regulatory position months earlier. In March, SBC News reported that Sorare was finalising its declaration and did not consider participation in JONUM an admission that it operated a real-money gambling business.

The April and October receipts now provide a more complete timeline of those filings.

ANJ Documents Leave One Question Open

Which Sorare competitions are covered by each declaration? The receipts don’t say. The April document uses SORARE PRO, while the October one simply says SORARE. Neither contains a list of games or mentions a new launch.

For French players, Sorare already has specific JONUM requirements. Its verification guide covers identity checks and gaming limits. Card and cryptocurrency rewards may be held until the checks are complete.

ANJ has also been working on operator reporting requirements, as 15M covered earlier. Those requirements are separate from the two declarations. The October receipt provides no further details about the games behind the SORARE entry.
