Soft2Bet Turns World Cup Traffic Into MEGA Shoot Test
Soft2Bet has rolled out MEGA Shoot, a football-themed gamification product for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The launch gives selected sportsbook brands a new way to keep users active across the full tournament.

The FIFA World Cup runs from 11 June to 19 July, creating a 39-day tournament window for operators. That creates a different retention problem from a single-day sports peak such as the Super Bowl. Players may arrive for national-team matches and then drop off between fixtures. This is where Soft2Bet is looking at MEGA Shoot as a solution tailored to meet this gap.

MEGA Shoot will be deployed across selected Soft2Bet brands such as Betinia, Swiper, Campobet, ToonieBet and Elabet. The cited markets include Denmark, Greece, Mexico, New Jersey, Ontario, Romania, and the rest of Canada.

How the Penalty Format Works

MEGA Shoot is based on the classic five-round penalty shoot-out system. Users play striker and goalkeeper by turns. As the striker, users choose where to aim. As the goalkeeper, they choose which area to defend.

Each round ends with a goal or a save before the roles switch. The mechanics are deliberately kept simple. They mimic a football scene familiar to many users, thus reducing the need for onboarding.

MEGA Shoot is part of the bigger MEGA range developed by Soft2Bet. MEGA is a gamification platform created by the company for casinos and bookmakers. Its operators can set rewards, triggers, user segments, and difficulty level.

Early Numbers Give Soft2Bet Its Sales Case

According to Soft2Bet’s official release, early internal data showed a 13.5% uplift in player retention. The company also reported 31.9% game engagement among active players across selected brands, while 71.2% of MEGA Shoot users played a second match.

The figures are useful for Soft2Bet’s operator pitch. However, they remain company data rather than an independent market benchmark.

The launch also fits a wider supplier trend around the World Cup. Besides odds feeds and casino games or bonus tools, tournament-specific engagement layers are being packaged for operators that will get high football traffic.

Expert View

MEGA Shoot looks less like a stand-alone game release and more like a retention tool with a football skin. Its real test will be whether repeat play continues after the first novelty effect. If the internal figures hold across regulated markets, Soft2Bet will have a stronger case for event-led gamification beyond the World Cup.
