PrizePicks launches NBA campaign with Iverson and Parker

Daily fantasy operator pairs basketball legends with comedians to promote new social features ahead of NBA season

PrizePicks rolled out a new ad series yesterday featuring Allen Iverson and Candace Parker. The campaign also includes social media influencer Drew “Druski” Desbordes and actor Sam Richardson.

The ads are part of PrizePicks’ ongoing “It’s Good to Be Right” campaign. This latest version promotes the operator’s recently launched PrizePicks Feed social feature.

Richardson appears alongside Iverson in the feature spot. The actor shows off how much he mirrors the former NBA star while they demonstrate the platform.

Why This Campaign Targets Basketball Culture

The timing puts PrizePicks front and centre as the NBA season begins. Basketball brings huge engagement numbers for daily fantasy operators.

“We are thrilled to team up with basketball and cultural icons to showcase our new social features, making it simpler than ever to get in on the action with PrizePicks,” PrizePicks CMO Mike Quigley said.

The campaign leans into social proof. Players can now see what their friends are picking in real time.

Quigley added that the spots show “It’s Good to be Right, even if that means leaning on the knowledge of your friends.”

What the New Ads Show Users

Iverson and Richardson walk through how to use PrizePicks in the main commercial. The spot plays up Richardson’s comedic timing.

Parker and Druski appear in separate TV spots. These focus on the new Feed feature that lets users interact with picks from friends and the wider PrizePicks community.

“I have always shared my game with the fans…the crossover, the swagger, the headband,” Iverson said. “This campaign lets me bring that same vibe. It’s about hoops, culture and me having fun with the fans.”

Parker highlighted the competitive angle. “One thing I know about PrizePicks players is that they know ball and they love to win,” she said. “I know a thing or two about winning, and this campaign is all about teaming up and getting in on the action together.”

How Social Features Change the Platform

PrizePicks Feed marks a shift toward social betting. Users can view picks made by friends or community members in real time, not just make their own selections in isolation.

The operator also debuted new player profiles. These show stats about each user’s PrizePicks activity.

The social push comes after PrizePicks partnered with gaming software company Mindway AI on October 1. That deal enhances the operator’s ability to detect and respond to problem gaming behaviours.
