Princess Cruises launches slot-themed sailings with casino influencer

Casino content creator Brian Christopher will host dedicated gaming cruises starting September 2026

Princess Cruises formed a partnership with BC Ventures to launch Brian Christopher Slot Cruises. The casino content creator has millions of followers across his channels.

Christopher built his audience through slot machine content and gameplay videos. He’ll personally host the cruises and interact with passengers throughout each sailing.

Martin van der Merwe, Carnival Corporation’s AVP of Global Gaming Marketing, announced the partnership yesterday. Princess Cruises operates under Carnival Corporation’s umbrella of cruise brands.

Why Princess Chose a Content Creator Partnership

Cruise lines compete hard for casino players. Most offer standard gaming floors with limited differentiation.

Christopher brings a built-in audience of slot enthusiasts. His followers trust his recommendations and engage heavily with his content. That’s valuable for Princess as it tries to fill cabins with players who’ll spend time in the casino.

The cruise line also promotes its smoke-free casino environment. Many land-based casinos still allow smoking, which drives away some players. Princess positions this as a key advantage.

What Passengers Get on These Cruises

The first sailing departs Vancouver on September 12, 2026 for a seven-day Alaska roundtrip. A 10-day Mediterranean cruise follows on October 31.

Christopher will deliver opening and closing remarks for each voyage. He’ll host group slot pulls and run slot tournaments on select sailings. Players get direct access to him throughout the trip.

Princess offers an “offer match” program for these cruises. Players can submit their existing offers from land-based casinos. The cruise line will match certain perks to attract high-value customers.

And there’s a promotional angle. Christopher will create a video series for his social channels to promote the sailings. This gives Princess access to his audience before bookings even open.

How This Changes Cruise Casino Strategies

Most cruise gaming focuses on broad appeal. Princess is taking a different approach by targeting a specific player community.

The partnership gives the cruise line credibility with slot players. Christopher’s endorsement matters more to this audience than traditional advertising.

Other cruise lines have explored casino loyalty partnerships. MGM Resorts expanded its rewards program to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises in June. Players can now use their MGM accounts while gaming at sea.

But Princess is the first major line to build entire sailings around a casino influencer. The move tests whether content creators can drive meaningful bookings in the cruise sector. If successful, expect more cruise lines to pursue similar partnerships with gaming personalities.

Van der Merwe called it “an experience you won’t find anywhere else.” That positioning matters in a crowded cruise market where differentiation is tough.
