Pragmatic Play has positioned its latest rollout as a follow-up to Sweet Bonanza CandyLand. That live show-style game uses a popular slot theme as the inspiration. With such releases, the company appears to be making two important moves at the same time. It introduces new live games, and it uses familiarity to reduce friction for operators and players.
New Slot Specifics
Under the hood, this game retains the European version of roulette while adding a few more features. On each spin, one Bonus Number and up to seven Lucky Numbers carry 50x to 250x multipliers that can boost straight-up bets. The Super Booster can further increase the Bonus Number and a random selection of Lucky Numbers by 2x to 10x.
When the Bonus Number comes out, players enter the 6×5 bonus game, which begins with 15 spins, has scatter retriggering, and provides payouts of up to 10,000x in the bonus round.
A Wider 2026 Rollout
The product had been showcased by the company together with new arcade and live games during the ICE Barcelona event back in January. After that, Pragmatic Play introduced Crystal Roulette, as well as added Chicken+ to its growing list of arcade games. It is obvious that the company is making an effort to diversify its catalog while maintaining a recognizable brand identity at the same time.
Why the Market Angle Matters
Commercial considerations also come into play. Pragmatic Play had announced Gates of Olympus Roulette prior to its BiS SiGMA South America conference in São Paulo, where it showcased the game as one of its live offerings. Soon after that, the company made an announcement about securing a deal for Latin America with Smart Nucleo in terms of RNG, live casino, and virtual titles. This is not to say that the newly launched roulette offering is meant for Latin America alone. But it certainly indicates this is the timing of their expansion efforts in the region.
A far more significant test to come will be how well the slot-themed title maintains its appeal once it is placed into a live setting with its own dynamics. Should the game be prominently featured by the operators and find favor, then perhaps this new title would show where the supplier product strategy is heading next.
