Real-time odds provider brings PLN's alternative sports to global sportsbooks

Pro League Network struck a deal with OpticOdds yesterday to bring its alternative sports portfolio to more sportsbooks worldwide. The partnership connects PLN’s unique properties, CarJitsu Championship, SlapFight, and Putt Tour, with OpticOdds’ real-time trading infrastructure. PLN Co-Founder Mike Salvaris announced the collaboration would help the network reach betting audiences across new markets.

OpticOdds serves as the technical backbone for the expansion. The company provides low-latency odds feeds and trading solutions to sportsbook operators. Their platform will now carry betting lines for all PLN sports properties. This marks PLN’s latest move to grow its betting footprint beyond current partnerships with DraftKings, BetMGM, and bet365.

Why This Partnership Addresses a Market Gap

PLN’s sports formats were designed specifically for betting engagement. The fast-paced nature of events like CarJitsu and SlapFight creates frequent betting opportunities that traditional sports can’t match. But the network needed better distribution to capitalise on this advantage.

OpticOdds solves PLN’s technical challenge. Their infrastructure lets operators trade alternative sports with the same precision as mainstream leagues. This wasn’t previously possible for most smaller sports properties. Ryan Weinstock, OpticOdds’ CCO, pointed out these “viral formats” now get the same trading reliability as established sports.

The timing matters for operators looking for differentiated content. Traditional sports betting markets have grown crowded. PLN’s properties offer fresh inventory that can attract new customer segments.

What the Integration Delivers

OpticOdds’ sportsbook clients gain immediate access to PLN betting markets. The integration provides real-time odds across all network properties. Operators can now offer in-play betting on events that weren’t available through traditional data providers.

PLN sports already operate in over 16 US states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The OpticOdds partnership extends this reach to international markets where the data provider has existing relationships. State regulatory approvals remain unchanged—the deal affects distribution, not licensing.

The network described this as building a “betting stack” for creator-driven sports content. Their model converts social media audiences into betting customers through formats that work well for wagering.

How This Changes Alternative Sports Distribution

The partnership establishes a template for niche sports seeking betting market access. PLN demonstrates that alternative properties can achieve technical parity with major leagues if they work with the right infrastructure partners. Other emerging sports will likely pursue similar distribution deals.

For operators, this creates access to always-on content that fills gaps in traditional sports calendars. PLN events run year-round without off-seasons. That consistent inventory helps retention between major sporting events.

The deal also builds on PLN’s July 2024 collaboration with Birches Health. That partnership focused on responsible gaming resources for the network’s 500,000 subscribers. Together, these moves position PLN as a betting content provider that addresses both distribution and player protection concerns.
