Octoplay Secures Partnership Deal with Danish State Operator Danske Spil

Content provider expands Nordic presence through premium portfolio integration with Denmark's established gambling brand.

Octoplay just signed a partnership with Danske Spil, Denmark’s state-owned gambling operator. The deal brings another major Nordic operator into Octoplay’s growing network.

Danske Spil isn’t just any operator. They’re Denmark’s most established gambling brand with deep roots and nationwide recognition.

This follows other big deals for Octoplay. Recent partnerships include Svenska Spel in Sweden, JACKS.NL in the Netherlands, and Rank Group in the UK.

The company’s been busy. They completed an average of five integrations per month throughout 2024.

Octoplay is targeting operators in each market they enter. That’s their stated approach and Danske Spil has made the list.

“Partnering with Danske Spil represents a significant milestone in our European expansion,” said Ralitsa Georgieva, Octoplay’s Director of Business Development. She called them Denmark’s “most established and trusted gaming brand.”

The content provider has licences in 10 regulated European markets already. Adding Denmark strengthens their Nordic position.

Simon Hoffmann Riis from Danske Spil praised Octoplay’s “data-driven approach to creating quality content.” That’s exactly what operators want – proven performance metrics.

Riis said: “We are delighted to welcome Octoplay as a trusted partner whose premium portfolio has consistently proven itself across European markets.”

Danske Spil gets access to Octoplay’s entire premium portfolio. The full suite of games will be available to Danish players.

Octoplay’s content has “consistently proven itself across European markets,” according to Danske Spil’s Senior Games & Analytics Manager.

The integration showcases premium content that’s already working well in other regulated markets.

But it’s not just about game quantity. Danske Spil specifically mentioned Octoplay’s commitment to “responsible entertainment experience.”

This deal adds to Octoplay’s commercial growth. They’ve agreed deals with over 80 operators now.

But Europe isn’t their only focus. The company’s also expanding in North America with provisional licences in Michigan and New Jersey.

Their strategy is clear: rapid market entry plus strategic partnerships with market leaders. Then they back it up with consistent game innovation.

The Nordic region is becoming a key stronghold. With Svenska Spel and now Danske Spil, they’ve got major state operators in two important markets. That gives them serious credibility for future partnerships across the region.

In March 2025, Octoplay brokered a deal with JOI Gaming to bring its online gaming content to The Netherlands. Georgieva commented on the deal, stating: “This partnership with JOI Gaming marks another significant step in our expansion strategy. The Netherlands represents a key market for us and working with established operators like JOI Gaming allows us to bring our innovative content to more Dutch players.”

Additionally, Octoplay has recently obtained provisional licences in multiple US states, including Michigan and New Jersey.
