MGM extends F1 Las Vegas partnership through 2030
Casino giant secures founding partner status for five more years

MGM Resorts International has extended its founding partnership with the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix through 2030. The casino operator has been with the race since its debut in 2023, and this year’s event (November 20-22) marks the third running of F1 cars on the Las Vegas Strip.

Why This Partnership Matters for Vegas

The extension keeps the winner’s podium at MGM’s Bellagio Fountain Club through 2030, offering prime visibility during race weekend. Emily Prazer, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, credited MGM for helping shape the race’s early identity. MGM’s hospitality strength ensures the Vegas GP is recognized alongside historic venues like Monaco.

Steve Zanella, MGM’s COO, emphasized that the deal strengthens Las Vegas’s image as a global entertainment and sports hub. The event’s timing before Thanksgiving also boosts international travel appeal.

What MGM Brings to Race Weekend

MGM’s role goes beyond the Bellagio Fountain Club, which serves as the main hospitality venue. The operator activates multiple Strip properties with retail and entertainment tied to the race, creating a citywide F1 experience.

The 2025 culinary lineup already features celebrity chefs Tom Colicchio, David Chang, Wolfgang Puck, Masaharu Morimoto, Antonia Lofaso, and Brooke Williamson, reinforcing Vegas’s unique positioning compared to other circuits.

How This Shapes Vegas Racing Future

The extension underscores F1’s long-term commitment to Las Vegas. MGM, working alongside the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and other founding partners, plays a central role in elevating the event’s quality and scale.

The partnership also positions MGM within the city’s sports transformation, as Las Vegas now hosts franchises like the Raiders, Golden Knights, and Aces. For MGM, the F1 deal extends beyond November—it strengthens their role in shaping Vegas as a year-round sports and entertainment capital.
