InFocus Targets Curaçao With Codexa Real-Money Casino Platform

InFocus Targets Curaçao With Codexa Real-Money Casino Platform
Australian software firm InFocus Group plans to take its Codexa casino platform into licensed real-money gambling, starting with Curaçao. The new version, Codexa ROW, is expected to become commercially available in early 2027. No signed operator contracts have been disclosed.

The company outlined the expansion in an October 8 ASX announcement. Codexa was originally developed for the US sweepstakes market, where the operating model differs from conventional real-money gambling.

Codexa ROW will use the existing platform technology while adding features for licensed casino operators outside the United States. Curaçao is the first target, with other markets to be assessed later.

Curaçao Registration Comes Before the 2027 Launch

There is a regulatory deadline ahead of InFocus’s planned rollout. From December 24, 2026, Curaçao-licensed operators will be prohibited from purchasing critical gaming services from suppliers that are not registered with the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA).

The regulator’s guidance distinguishes between locally established suppliers and overseas businesses. Local suppliers providing critical services require both a licence and registration. Foreign suppliers generally need registration rather than a Curaçao supplier licence.

InFocus intends to register its gaming technology division, IFG iGaming, as a supplier. In an October 7 announcement, the CGA said its existing online gaming portal would not return to service. Regulatory work will continue through alternative arrangements while an interim system is introduced.

There is still work to do on the software itself. InFocus has not announced a completed product or a confirmed date for its first casino customer.

Codexa ROW Will Handle Fiat and Crypto Transactions

Codexa was built for US sweepstakes casinos. The ROW version has a different job: it needs to handle real-money player balances, deposits and withdrawals.

Both fiat and cryptocurrency payments are planned, although InFocus will rely on external payment providers. Crypto will only be available where an operator’s licence allows it.

The company is also working on identity checks, age verification, anti-money-laundering screening and responsible gambling tools. Access from Australia, the US and other prohibited markets will be blocked.

InFocus will supply the software rather than operate the casinos. It will not hold customer funds or digital assets, and individual operators will still need their own licences.

September Funding Gives InFocus More Room to Develop Codexa

The company’s recent capital raise provides some funding for this work. A September 14 ASX filing confirmed A$465,000 in placement proceeds, including an additional A$15,000 added after the initial announcement.

Not all of that money is going into Codexa ROW. The placement covers broader product development, including work by InFocus Gaming Technologies, and no separate budget for the international casino platform has been published.

InFocus expects to charge operators a monthly platform fee, take a share of gaming revenue and offer paid managed services. Discussions with potential white-label customers are underway.

For now, though, there are no announced customer agreements or revenue estimates for Codexa ROW. Curaçao is the first market on the company’s list, but the early-2027 rollout still depends on registration, product testing and finding operators ready to use the platform.
