IGT opens first Mexico Viva Las Vegas lounge
International Game Technology debuts its branded gaming space at Jubilee Casino in Monterrey

IGT just opened its first-ever LatAm Viva Las Vegas lounge at Jubilee Casino in Monterrey, Mexico, working alongside Logrand Entertainment Group who owns and operates the property.

Juan Baracaldo, Director of Operations & Product for Logrand Entertainment Group, couldn’t hide his excitement about the partnership. “Jubilee Casino is excited to offer our guests the entertainment of some of IGT’s most celebrated slots themes in an inviting space,” he said during the announcement.

On IGT’s side, David Flinn serves as Senior Vice President of Sales for Americas and EMEA. He’s been pushing for this type of branded expansion across Latin America for months.

Why This Lounge Matters for Mexican Gaming

The collaboration aims to bring that authentic Las Vegas casino experience right to Mexican players’ doorsteps. Baracaldo explained that this partnership lets them “elevate jackpot excitement on our gaming floor and deliver a world-class, Las Vegas-like gaming experience to players right here in Mexico.”

But there’s more strategy at play here. IGT wants to differentiate Jubilee Casino from its competitors while testing whether its Vegas branding resonates with Latin American audiences.

Mexico’s gaming market has been growing steadily, and international suppliers like IGT are taking notice. This lounge serves as IGT’s testing ground before potentially rolling out similar concepts across the region.

What Players Find Inside the New Space

The dedicated IGT-branded area houses over 40 slot machines, mixing both video and mechanical reel games throughout the space. Players can try their luck on titles like Magic Treasures Gold, Money Gong, and Tiger and Dragon Super Bonus – all running on IGT’s Peak family of cabinets.

The lounge doesn’t stop at just gaming though. There’s also a custom-designed cocktail bar that showcases characters from the slot games featured within the space, creating an immersive experience that extends beyond the reels.

Flinn described it as “a compilation of our performance-proven MLP and core games” designed to create what he calls a “unique setting” for players.

How This Shapes IGT’s Regional Strategy

This Monterrey location represents just the beginning – IGT has several more Viva Las Vegas lounges planned for Mexico if this one proves successful.

The timing isn’t coincidental either. IGT’s been making moves in regulated markets lately, including Hard Rock Bet Casino’s launch of IGT’s Whitney Houston slot online for New Jersey customers on August 14.

Flinn expects Mexican players to embrace the concept, and if they do, expect to see these branded spaces popping up across the country. The approach gives IGT much tighter control over the player experience compared to standard game placements while building stronger brand recognition in emerging markets.
