IGT brings land-based hit Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels to online players

IGT brings land-based hit Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels to online players
Popular casino floor title now available through IGT PlayDigital in Ontario and six US states

International Game Technology released Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels for online play on October 16. The slot went live through IGT PlayDigital in Ontario, Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

IGT chose these markets for the digital launch after years of land-based success. The company’s making its first push to bring this specific title online. Players in those regions can now access it through licensed operators.

This marks IGT’s continued shift toward digital versions of its casino floor games.

Why this title matters for IGT’s strategy

Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels already performs well in physical casinos. Moving it online lets IGT reach players who prefer digital gaming over visiting brick-and-mortar locations.

The game features what IGT calls a “visually immersive” design. It includes three bonus features: the Tiger Bonus, Dragon Bonus, and Tiger and Dragon Bonus. These bonuses work specifically for the online format.

IGT’s been expanding its digital footprint. Just a day earlier, on October 15, the company rolled out its first Wheel of Fortune video lottery terminal in Illinois through Gold Rush Gaming. That partnership showed IGT’s focus on different gaming formats across multiple markets.

The Wheel of Fortune VLT launch included player events across Illinois. IGT Regional VP of Sales Tim Shortall said at the time that bringing Wheel of Fortune to VLT “adds an immediate player-favorite theme” to the company’s Illinois portfolio.

What features the game includes

The cash on reels mechanic activates when the Mystery Gong symbol appears. Once triggered, it assigns cash values to each gong symbol from left to right across the reels.

Players get 243 ways to win. The game runs with medium-to-high volatility, which means bigger payouts happen less frequently than lower volatility slots.

The Tiger and Dragon theme uses Asian-inspired graphics and sound. IGT designed it to match the land-based version’s look while adapting controls for online play.

How IGT plans to grow digital content

This release follows IGT’s pattern of converting successful land-based titles to digital formats. The company’s testing which casino floor games translate best to online markets.

IGT’s also working on physical casino innovations. Back in August, the company opened its first LatAm Vive Las Vegas lounge at Jubilee Casino in Monterrey, Mexico. That partnership with Logrand Entertainment Group showed IGT’s international expansion plans.

The company hasn’t announced which states might get Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels next. But the initial seven-market launch suggests more regions could follow if performance meets expectations.

IGT’s competing with other suppliers who’ve already moved popular land-based titles online. Getting Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels into digital markets helps IGT keep pace.
