How the Mechanic Works
The slot features an expanding bonus symbol mechanic. There is no “Book” symbol, no free spins trigger, and no scatter. The expanding symbol mechanic operates directly within the base game.
On certain spins, one of the standard symbols is randomly selected as a bonus symbol and highlighted against the background. More than one bonus symbol can appear in a single spin, and any symbol from the paytable can be selected as such. When a bonus symbol lands as part of a winning combination, it expands to cover the entire reel. Payouts are then calculated across all 20 lines depending on how many reels the corresponding symbol appears on.
This is a “book” style mechanic from Gamomat, stripped of its usual implementation system. In a standard “book” slot, free spins are triggered first, and a single expanding symbol is selected for the round. Here, however, the expanding symbol activates in the base game without a separate bonus phase.
The slot differs from classic Book games in that the expanding symbol can appear at any time during regular gameplay, not just in the bonus round.
Series Context
The first slot in the Frooty Troupe series, Sun Splash, had a beach theme and featured a “nudge” mechanic with a secret seashell bonus with high win potential. “Game On!” takes a different approach in both its visuals and gameplay. The game’s theme is a retro arcade with pixel-art fruit characters and an 8-bit soundtrack that changes as players progress through the levels. Both games share characters but have little in common in terms of gameplay.
Gamomat’s Brand and Design Director Sabine Müller said the studio wanted to show just how diverse the series can be from one release to the next. Sun Splash focused on mysterious prizes with high winning potential, while Game On! traded that ceiling for mechanics that trigger more frequently but within a narrower range.
Distribution
The game is available via Gamomat’s proprietary remote game server (G-RGS) and through the Bragg HUB aggregation platform. This covers Gamomat’s primary content distribution channels in regulated European markets.
With a maximum payout of 230x, Game On! falls into the category of casual games. Players accustomed to high-volatility slots with four- or five-digit multipliers are unlikely to find a reason to stay. The slot is designed for short sessions and low-stakes play, which aligns with its low-volatility profile and accessible betting range.
