FanDuel has signed a new market access deal with Delaware North in West Virginia, anchored by Delaware North’s Mardi Gras Casino & Resort. The company already runs the Greenbrier Resort sportsbook, but this agreement deepens their presence in the state.
Jonathan Edson, FanDuel’s SVP of Business Development, called Delaware North “an ideal partner,” while Lee Terfloth, head of Delaware North’s iGaming operations, described the partnership as a source of pride, hinting at strong enthusiasm from both sides.
Why This Deal Makes Strategic Sense
The partnership blends FanDuel’s sports betting technology with Delaware North’s decades of gaming experience, reinforcing FanDuel’s established West Virginia foothold since 2019. Delaware North recently reintroduced Evolution’s online live dealer and slot games on its Betly platform, giving FanDuel broader product integration opportunities.
The move also fits into FanDuel’s national growth strategy, highlighted by their Missouri expansion via a partnership with St. Louis City SC announced in August 2025.
What Changes Under This Agreement
FanDuel will now offer both iGaming and online sports betting through Mardi Gras Casino & Resort while continuing to operate at Greenbrier, effectively doubling its presence. Delaware North’s Betly platform adds Evolution titles for West Virginia players, with more products launching in late 2025.
West Virginia players also gain access to FanDuel Picks, a peer-to-peer fantasy product launched in August across 17 states, offering expanded betting choices on player stat projections.
How This Affects Market Competition
The deal cements FanDuel’s West Virginia footprint as they continue multi-state expansion. Delaware North benefits from FanDuel’s brand strength and technology, while Evolution’s live dealer games should attract new players. The partnership underscores FanDuel’s strategy of aligning with strong local operators instead of going solo in competitive markets.
