According to union statements, “economic uncertainty driven by tariffs” has hurt tourism, and they’re also pointing to concerns about mass deportation policies and anti-worker measures. Meanwhile, working families are getting crushed by “skyrocketing prices for housing, gas, groceries and insurance.”

Those 700 employees are deep in negotiations right now. And the union just scored a win at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas back in January 2025, so that success might give The Sphere workers some extra leverage.
