Cherry Play has partnered with Starcasino to bring its games to players in the Netherlands. This partnership builds on their existing relationship, with Cherry Play’s content already available to play for Starcasino’s Belgian customers.
The content provider offers a subscription-based commercial model that differs from standard industry practices. They only made their market debut in January last year but have quickly gained momentum.
Unlike the typical revenue share approach, Starcasino pays a monthly licence fee to access Cherry Play’s games. This setup lets the operator give these titles better lobby positioning.
It also allows for increased promotional spending since Starcasino keeps most of the revenue these games generate. The model has recently proven successful in Belgium.
For players, it means access to more prominently featured games. For operators, it creates a different financial structure that can be more predictable than traditional revenue sharing.
Starcasino’s Dutch customers can now play Cherry Play’s classic slot content like Super Coin and Chef Super Bet. The operator also added the Golden Cherry Jackpot System to its Dutch offerings.
New releases are part of the deal too. Pirates Player and Shark Casher, which launched in late April, are now available to Netherlands-based players.
Cherry Play reportedly builds its slots using tech purposefully built for smooth integration. This aims to make the process easier for operators.
Daniela Fricchione, Cherry Play Commercial Account Director, commented: “The operator (Starcasino) has built a player base seeking the best online slots in the business. Cherry Play is here to provide just that and we are delighted to see our portfolio of games, including our most recent titles, go live to Starcasino players in the Netherlands for the first time.”
Starcasino Director Pieter van den Bos, added: “Cherry Play has proved to be a valuable content provider for Starcasino, not just because of its portfolio of sucessful games but also because of its subscription-based commercial model. Adding its games to our Dutch casino offering was a no-brainer.”
This latest partnership follows Cherry Play’s deal with Hard Rock Casino NL, which went live earlier this year and introduced games such as Multi Banks and Golden Cherry Jackpot.
Cherry Play CEO Olga Bajela said: “While great games are important for any studio, especially a new one, we believe the commercial agreements through which games are offered was in need of a shake-up and that’s why we launched with our subscription offering.”
Following this latest partnership, Cherry Play have announced plans of releasing two new games every month. Bragg Gaming are providing technology to Cherry Play to support them in game development and platform integration.
