Aruze Gaming Global just named Srini Adiraju as their new Chief Technology Officer. He’s stepping into a role that puts him in charge of global technology strategy and next-generation gaming platform development.
Adiraju comes from Visteon Corporation, where he served as VP of Engineering. At Visteon, he was running global cybersecurity and functional safety programs while leading autonomous driving platform initiatives.
That’s quite a jump from automotive to gaming, but Adiraju isn’t new to the casino world.
Why Aruze Picked This Particular Executive
“Adiraju’s expertise in platform technology and systems architecture will strengthen our foundation for innovation,” said Frank Feng, Aruze’s President and Owner. “We’re excited to have him lead the next phase of our technology evolution.”
Feng’s betting on Adiraju’s technical background to push Aruze’s gaming platforms forward. The company clearly wants someone who can handle both the security side and the innovation side of gaming technology.
Adiraju spent 14 years with WMS Gaming and Scientific Games before his automotive stint. During that time, he was designing enhanced features for slot platforms and helping shape standards for remote configuration.
So he knows the gaming industry inside and out.
What Adiraju Will Actually Do at Aruze
His job covers a lot of ground – overseeing global technology strategy while guiding development of next-generation gaming platforms for worldwide operations. But that’s just the start.
Adiraju will also drive platform innovation and strengthen Aruze’s technology teams in Las Vegas and around the globe. The focus is on developing secure and scalable gaming platforms.
Given his background in cybersecurity and functional safety, that security piece probably factored heavily into Aruze’s decision. Gaming platforms face constant threats, and operators need someone who understands those risks.
How This Fits Aruze’s Bigger Picture
This appointment isn’t happening in isolation. Back in April, Aruze named Mike Sands as Senior Vice President of Sales for North America & LatAm.
Sands brought his own gaming pedigree from Aristocrat, Bally and WMS. So Aruze is clearly building out its leadership team with industry veterans.
The combination of Adiraju handling the technology side and Sands managing sales suggests Aruze is gearing up for a bigger push in key markets. Having someone with both gaming and automotive technology experience could give them an edge as casino technology gets more sophisticated.
The timing makes sense too – gaming platforms are getting more complex, and operators need executives who can handle both traditional casino gaming and emerging technologies.
