AGS brings Mariachi Fortunes Trio to New Mexico market
Slot supplier partners with Sandia Resort & Casino for exclusive state debut

American Gaming Systems formed a partnership with Sandia Resort & Casino to introduce Mariachi Fortunes Trio slots to New Mexico players. The Albuquerque property got exclusive access to the game portfolio.

AGS executives and Sandia leadership hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. More than 300 VIP guests attended the launch celebration.

Mark DeDeaux serves as SVP and GM of Slots for AGS. He’s been watching the game’s performance since its July debut at properties in California and Nevada.

Why This Launch Matters for New Mexico

The game’s been building momentum nationally since summer. DeDeaux said Mariachi Fortunes Trio has seen “tremendous success” across multiple markets.

Sandia got first shot at the title in New Mexico. That’s not typical for slot launches in the state.

The partnership lets AGS test the game with New Mexico players before rolling it out statewide. And it gives Sandia an edge over competing casinos in the region.

DeDeaux called the arrangement a “special partnership” that celebrates both the game’s theme and the relationship between the two companies.

What Happened at the Launch Event

AGS and Sandia threw a party inspired by the game’s two content themes, Fiesta de los Vivos and Fiesta de las Calacas. The celebration reflected the slot’s Mexican cultural elements.

The free-play event produced real results. Players hit more than 20 hand-pays during the celebration, totalling close to $75,000.

Sandia soft launched the game on October 15. Guests had exclusive access for a limited time before the title expands to other New Mexico casinos.

The game portfolio includes immersive themes and bonus options. DeDeaux highlighted the “rich features” that make it stand out.

How This Builds on the Original Premiere

AGS did something unusual in July. They launched Mariachi Fortunes Trio simultaneously at two properties – Yaamava’ Resort & Casino near Los Angeles and Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Those premieres transformed casino floors into Mexico-style plazas. Live mariachi bands performed alongside folklorico dancers.

The dual-property approach worked. So AGS is using similar strategies for regional expansions like this one.

Club Serrano members at the California property were among the first players to try the game. They received giveaways during the launch event.

The New Mexico debut follows that playbook but focuses on a single market entry. Other state casinos will get access after Sandia’s exclusive window closes.
