This is not Soft2Bet’s first move in the Danish market. Betoro.dk appears in the license register of the Danish Gambling Authority with Denix Limited as the license holder. Other domains owned by the same license holder include betinia.dk, campobet.dk, quickcasino.dk, and swiper.dk.
Earlier, Soft2Bet’s two Danish-facing brands, Betinia and CampoBet, engaged in a major football sponsorship deal that covered the country’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd divisions for the 2025/26 and 2026/27. Betoro, therefore, arrives after Soft2Bet had already established a visible commercial presence in Danish football.
Betoro Looks Built Around Local Compliance Basics
According to Soft2Bet, Betoro is based on the MEGA Gamification System, which includes milestones and progression mechanisms designed for retention. What elevates the launch of Betoro is that the site itself is currently live and demonstrates the practical features expected in Denmark:
-
MitID-based verification;
-
CPR cross-checking;
-
Danish-language support;
-
Payment limits displayed in kroner on the site;
-
Familiar payment methods for Danish users (such as Visa, Zimpler, and MobilePay).
In addition, this launch comes at a time when compliance has also been evolving, not staying stagnant. Changes to the licensing rules for suppliers came into effect starting January 1, 2025, while updated guidelines for responsible gambling were issued by the regulator in February 2026. From the operators’ perspective, this raises the value of a product that is not only localized but is also compatible with existing control measures.
Growth Is There, but So Is Pressure
The Danish gambling market is continuing to grow, with the total gambling spend going up to DKK 11 billion in 2024 (a 5.6% increase over the previous year). The more recent figures point to the same trend: in November 2025, total spend was up by 17.1% , with a 27% uptick in online casino and 14% climb in betting.
Nevertheless, Denmark isn’t a soft touch. The national self-exclusion system, ROFUS, has passed 50,000 registrations by April 2024, and the regulator blocked 178 illegal gambling sites in one go (bringing the total number of sites blocked since 2012 to 616).
That’s what makes the launch of Betoro interesting to watch. Demand is there, but so is active oversight. The next question is whether Soft2Bet can give Betoro a distinct role in the market, rather than simply adding another name to its licensed portfolio.
