Polymarket seals UFC partnership as official prediction market
The crypto-based prediction platform becomes the first market operator to partner with a major sports organisation

Polymarket struck a deal with TKO Group Holdings yesterday. TKO owns and operates the UFC, one of the world’s biggest combat sports brands.

The partnership makes Polymarket the exclusive prediction market partner for both UFC and Zuffa Boxing. It’s the first time a sports organisation has officially teamed up with a prediction market platform.

Shayne Coplan founded Polymarket and serves as its CEO. He called the UFC deal significant because “few sports generate emotion and debate like the UFC.”

TKO’s Executive Chair and CEO Ariel Emanuel will oversee the partnership from the sports side. This marks Polymarket’s third major partnership announcement this week. The company also revealed deals with PrizePicks and cryptocurrency exchange Based.

Why This Partnership Breaks Industry Ground

Prediction markets have operated outside traditional sports partnerships until now. This deal changes that dynamic completely.

The UFC generates massive fan engagement across global markets. Combat sports fans are known for their passionate involvement with fight predictions and outcomes.

Polymarket gains access to millions of UFC followers through official channels. TKO Group also owns WWE, giving them experience with innovative fan engagement approaches. The company recently signed a UFC and Zuffa Boxing deal with Paramount that starts in 2026.

Emanuel said the partnership “unlocks a new dimension of fan engagement.” The deal lets fans interact with events in real time rather than just watching passively.

What the Partnership Actually Delivers

Polymarket will integrate futures events technology into live UFC and Zuffa Boxing experiences. Fans attending events will see prediction market elements during the shows.

Brand activations will run across broadcasts, social media content, and live events. One major initiative includes a new social series launching across UFC’s various social media channels.

The platform will appear during broadcasts, letting viewers see how predictions shift during fights. Live arena attendees will also get prediction market access at events.

Coplan explained that fans won’t just watch outcomes anymore. They’ll “watch the world’s expectations evolve with every round.”

How This Changes Fan Participation

The integration transforms how UFC followers engage with fights. Passive viewing becomes active participation through prediction markets.

Real-time prediction tracking adds another layer to the viewing experience. Fans can see collective expectations shift as rounds progress and fighters gain or lose momentum.

Other sports organisations will likely watch this partnership closely. If successful, prediction market integrations could spread across professional sports. The combination of live sports and prediction technology creates new revenue opportunities.

TKO’s Paramount deal starting in 2026 may include prediction market elements too. The timing suggests TKO sees this technology as part of their broadcast future.
